Hotel La Reine

What we loved: * Location: Best possible location to explore the city * Staff: Every staff member we encountered was polite, professional, friendly and helpful * Decor: Hotel is cosy, has minimalist but modern design, looks very nice for a 3* venue * Cleanliness: Everything was spotless * Comfort: Soft comfy beds and lots of storage and surface space in the room * Price: Very reasonably priced for the quality and location, compared to other options What could be improved: * When we checked-in there was no soap in any of the dispensers and it only got replenished after several days once we asked for it directly. * Pillows are ridiculously thick, like sofa cushions. Got a neck cramp and headache from first night so opted to sleep on a rolled-up towel instead for the remainder of the stay. * Bathroom layout is not great - toilet is behind a glass door just a meter from the bed, so it doesn't leave much privacy or sound insulation. Shower floods the toilet area no matter how hard you try to avoid it, leaving a puddle right in front of the toilet. * Noise: Hotel is sound-insulated, but there was a lot of plumbing noise coming from the pipes in the bathroom at all hours - banging, hissing, screeching etc, like sleeping next to a loud fridge or boiler. The door between the lift and the floor, as well as other room doors make the room shake when they get shut, and we were unfortunate to have neighbours who were slamming doors relentlessly till 2am on our last night. * Some basic tea facilities in the room would be very useful. Summary: Great hotel at a reasonable price with friendly staff and nice amenities. If you're lucky with the room and neighbours, you'll really enjoy your stay here :)
Sandton Eindhoven Centre
3.8/556 Reviews
The rooms were not nice and very small. The first one smelled horribly like a smoker room and the second one (115) was so small that we did not even unpack. We just went there to sleep. The carpet was dirty and full of hair, there were stains on the curtains. Also the Furniture was very old and not cozy. The bathroom reminded me of camping. We had no view at all. You don't even have an elevator from parking to the rooms and nobody helped with out with our luggage! We had to carry it all the way ourselves! We've been to 5 hotels in the Netherlands the last 2 weeks and Sandton was the worst of them, I am sorry! The others were almost all the same category and price as yours or even cheaper but way cleaner, more cozy, beautiful, great view, big room, nice service (free coffee and tea all the time in the lobby) and so on. Here you find an overpriced minibar in the lobby. 4 Euros for a Coke.... I am glad that we booked with an offer and not paid the full price which would be around 140 €. The Lobby looks nice but the rooms are very old, tiny and not renovated.
Crown Hotel Eindhoven Centre

Crown Hotel was absolutely lovely, the staff were friendly and the suite was massive; granted though the hot tub didn’t work on arrival however they had contacted me beforehand to offer me one free morning of breakfast and I imagine this was no fault of their own. Location was perfect and was easy to get to.
Queen Hotel

We recently stayed at this hotel. Communication before arrival was always answered promptly. Great location, easy walk from bus/train station. Our room to the front of the hotel on the first floor was small but OK. Tea and coffee provided. Toiletries provided. Good shower, lots of hot water. Very noisy at night from people using restaurant below....noise lasted until about 1.30 a.m. Then the local youths took over until about 3.30 a.m. screaming and shouting. Nobody to move them on. Breakfast was very good and served at your table. I found the staff very nice and very helpful, especially Susanne............We were staying another night after our holiday in Venlo so we asked for a room at the back of the hotel for this night. No problem in arranging this. Similar room but smaller in size. This area overlooked the roof of a shopping centre. There was an extractor fan on the roof that was blowing food smells in to our room when we had the window open. Also quite noisy throughout the night. I found the bed pillows really difficult to sleep on. They have the large square shape. Quite firm. I felt if I was sleeping sitting up. There were no other type of pillows available. If they had different pillows or a choice of pillow types I would choose to stay in this hotel again, otherwise I would look elsewhere.
Tulip Inn Eindhoven Airport
4.1/592 Reviews
Let’s start with the positive: great location with immediate access to the airport’s terminal . Room itself was worn down. A lot of dirty stains on the walls and carpet. I have a lot of allergies, for dust etc. A soar throat and sneezing that disappears after leaving a room is always the best indicator for me for cleanliness. As you might guess, I had a soar throat and had to sneeze a lot. (Which disappeared really soon after leaving). Duvets and sheets were of low polyester quality, that together with an air-condition that didn’t work properly made it a very uncomfortable night. Reception staff was friendly and cheerful though. The only reason for staying at this hotel is the location, which in a certain way is worth the uncomfortable night.
WestCord Hotel Eindhoven

Great Location. Staff was friendly. Lobby is nice. However the rooms are dated and desperately in need of refurbishment. Shower seems to have quite a bit of mould between the tiles. The walls have a great deal of stains. Also some very particular looking stains on the chair. The oddest thing was a weird object next to the safe in the cupboard. I dont want to know what I was used for before it was left there. Also I do not know why it is still there. Room cleaning should be improved as there was quite some dust and dirt around the furniture.
