某 有名バルセロナ観光案内サイトのお勧めに従って宿泊しました。
結論から言って予想以上に大正解。
特に夜と早朝の壮麗な雰囲気は、それだけで価値がありました。
遅く起きても夜明けは8時頃なので十分楽しめます。
宿泊したのは11月下旬でしたので、15時過ぎのケーブルカーは1人で貸し切り。
調べた限り掲載の見当たらない重要情報として、モンセラット宿泊者はミサ、黒マリアなどの入場料が無料になります。
また18:30頃までしか空いてませんが、駅 - ホテルの間にあるお土産屋で宿泊時用の水やビール、スナックを買う際に、宿泊時にフロントでもらえる案内状を見せると10%程度の割引があります。
これを逃すと当然自販機もありませんので、フロントで500ml、1ユーロで水を買うしかありません。
シングル部屋は山側(眺望なし)で、アメニティは石鹸とオールインワンジェル2本、シャワーキャップ、ポケットティッシュのみで、タオル類は揃っています。
朝食はフロントで追加可能で20ユーロ程度だったかと思いますが、十分満足いくものでした。
営業時間(8~10時)の終わりぎりぎりに伺ったためか、陽気なスタッフがパンコントマテを作ってくれて、これが絶品!

It was a really great option for staying up at the Abby. Everything was very good. Dinner was good. Staff were very polite. Room was comfy and clean. I wish trip advisor allowed a 4.5 rating. It forces a choice between 4 or 5 neither of which fits.

The hotel rooms were small. They were clean but two problems: very much on the small side, and too much furniture. It was impossible to open the window and was very stuffy. The window could not be opened because of the desk that was too big for the room. The power outlets were inconveniently placed. Be aware that luggage needs to be dragged some distance to the hotel. Buffet breakfast was OK.

This hotel is right at the heart of the Montserrat complex, in a building previously used to accommodate the monks. The staff at reception were pleasant and efficient. My room was of a good size, recently decorated, and with a large comfortable bed. The only downside of the whole stay was the view from my window : a rock face, about a metre away. I guess I had a 50% chance of this since the hotel is built against the rock face: half the rooms will have a great view, the other half will face the rocks; I ought to have thought of specifically reserving a room facing out. Dinner in the restaurant (an elegant room) was very good and not at all expensive; very good service. The breakfast (a buffet) was very good too. Top tip : make sure that your window is closed or else you’ll be woken very early by the church bells. My only regret is that I didn’t have time to stay a 2nd night: there’s a lot of mountain to explore above the monastery. In sum, highly recommended.

Nice hotel, better than expected. Comfortable bed, bathroom very small as expected. Surprisingly noisy, but i had opened the window.sheets were good quality, duvet was ok. Limited hotel choices, this is probably the best choice. Very close to the cathedral.

We stayed here, instead of the nearby hostel, because a space became available. Our first night was in the most distant room possible, without WiFi, where we were locked in until 8 a.m. the next morning. They moved us to a much nicer room, where we enjoyed the convenience. Montserrat gets thousands of visitors every day, but empties out at night until the first busses arrive in the morning. The evenings and mornings especially were delightful. The Hotel's restaurant, the only source of evening food, had a delicious but repetitive menu. The breakfast buffet was limited. Montserrat and it mountain was a highlight of our trip.
