"Firstly I must say this hotel is absolutely beautiful from the design of the building to the esthetic look, unfortunately it goes a bit downhill from here firstly our room was large with 2 huge king-size beds and a plung pool for ourselves and 3 other rooms, not a problem but it is when we have paid extra for exclusive use of it !!!!! We found families and other couples who really shouldn't have been using it I phoned reception on quite a few occasions to complain but was told anyone could use it ! Next is the pool, there are two one quiet at the back of the hotel and one forward of the hotel, the quiet one is spoilt by the kids club where there's screaming kids and A LOT of noise building of the new spa facilities. There are no pool activities only music playing so the older kids are quite bored 🥱 The food is ok but it was catered for the locals as it was Egypt's annual holidays, we didn't go hungry but the sweet section is the same every night. The evening entertainment nothing apart from tape on repeat as it played the same music every night 😞 absolutely nothing to entertain the kids crying screaming and running about because of being boared. The hotel beach is absolutely spotless and plenty of sunbeds and you can get drinks and food, it is very safe for children as it's only knee deep with no reef. You can get a tuk tuk outside the hotel to take you out very cheaply to a bar or a restaurant. Now here's where I must complain to management about the cleaning of our room or lack of it.! Yes the hotel is clean but unless house keeping is kept on top of it the rooms it will soon be very dirty, our shower wasn't cleaned properly in the 2 weeks the floor was slimey and the shower screen wasn't cleaned and the floor was only swept 3 times. Now onto the spa 😯we used the spa on our last day for a shower as we had a late pick up, you have a serious health risk in the ladies showers the floor is absolutely filthy as in photos. Would we return to the Double tree mangroovy hotel NO."

"This chedi is really not recommended! The air conditioner in the room jumps out sometimes. The bathroom design is extremely leaky and poorly planned. The shower room is extremely small and the water pressure is very low. Taking a bath is very uncomfortable. The housekeeping is also a mess. New dental kits and cotton swabs are not placed in the room. The twin room is obviously for two people. There is only one pair of slippers and I don't know what it means. The public area of ​​the hotel is also very small. You can visit it in ten minutes. The service is not up to par. A hotel that costs almost 3,000 a night is really not worth it."

"This hotel is in a lovely location and the staff work very hard to keep it clean and look after the beautiful gardens. The food is excellent with plenty of choice and alcohol is freely available. However, our trip was marred by experiencing "Pharoahs Revenge"! Both my husband and myself and quite a few other people we spoke to were suffering from "the trots" and had to visit the local pharmacy, who were very helpful. I really don't want to blame this on the food or cleanliness in any way but I do suspect the watering of the gardens with foul smelling liquid may be to blame. The gardeners were wearing protective clothing and masks while customers were wandering about in shorts and it was quite breezy too! Hate to bring this hotel down in any way as they obviously try very hard to please customers but this biohazard needs addressing "

"We were a big group of 11 people in all different ages. We came to the hotel the 23 of February and left the 3 of March. This was our first time in El Gouna and the first time at this hotel. Like I said we were a big family and this hotel made sure that all of us enjoyed the vacation. Everything from the cleaning to the animation team was amazing. Especially the animation team was really good. There was a really fun and positive guy called kay he was always smiling and dancing with us. He made us feel so invited and he was also very helpful with everything! The experience was great and we obviously will be back. Thank you for this amazing experience. Best regards, The Haffo family"

"We had a wonderful week at DoubleTree Mangroovy, the hotel is brand new, rooms are spacious and spotless, and the location near Abu Tig marina is perfect. What truly made our stay memorable was the incredible staff, especially Arwa at reception, who went above and beyond with her warmth and excellent local tips. Breakfast was delicious and varied, and the private beach was a great bonus. The only minor downsides were the quiet atmosphere (don't expect lively animation) and slightly limited dinner options some nights, but it didn't spoil our experience. My advice: rent a tuk-tuk to explore El Gouna's islands and ask Arwa for recommendations, she's a gem. We'll definitely be back."

Everyone always greeted us with a smile and made us feel very comfortable throughout our stay. The rooms were beautiful, clean, and well maintained. A special thank you to Mohammed, who took care of our room. He was such a kind, friendly, and positive person, and it was always a pleasure to see him. He did a great job ❤️😊 The food was also very good, with plenty of tasty options, and the whole hotel area was a great place to relax. We really enjoyed the pool, but we also loved spending time by the lagoon – it was so peaceful and perfect for simply lying down, relaxing, and enjoying the atmosphere. We would also like to give a special mention to Tamer, one of the waiters. He was always extremely friendly, attentive, and welcoming. His positive attitude and kindness really stood out and made our meals even more enjoyable. Thank you, Tamer! 🍀🫶🏼 The location is also great. El Gouna is such a beautiful and peaceful place, perfect if you really want to switch off, relax, and enjoy your holiday away from the crowds and noise. Overall, we had a really lovely experience – great food, beautiful and clean rooms, a relaxing pool and lagoon area, a wonderful location, and most importantly, an amazing team of people who made us feel welcome from the very first day.
