Obsessed with this place! We came here for a short romantic weekend getaway and Elk Cove Inn was a perfect place for us. Our view from the Bavarian room was 100000/10 stunning! And the views in general on the property were great. This place has such a relaxed, homey, and romantic feel all over the place. We loved our stay, both the breakfasts and our dinner were great! I will be dreaming of that French Onion Soup . Thank you to the amazing owners and staff we encountered, everyone was really nice and accommodating. Cannot wait to plan another stay!

There is no place like this one in the world! The enclosed cove transports you, the sleep is restorative, and the chef and innkeeper are both incredible. Cell service isn’t an option, so you can curl up watching the waves and reading a book. The beach below is a great walk, and there are very few people who are there. Quite special.

A lovely place for a getaway. The February dinner special was an excellent opportunity to enjoy this first class Inn while being easier on the pocketbook. Such nice amenities like the welcome basket with wine and goodies, and the most comfy plush robes ever! The inn keepers Melissa and Ricky are so nice, friendly and cheerful. Just the right people for the job! And the food was yummy with eggs supplied by the resident chickens. A peaceful and pleasant experience.

Our room at Elk Cove Inn was perched above their private cove beach accessible via a meandering path through a garden of California natives. We beach combed multiple varieties of seaweed and heart shaped rocks among the driftwood sculptures. At day's end, we relaxed to the sound of waves with the crescent moon peeking out of the clear night sky. The morning breakfast service is plentiful and tastely. Reluctantly we did not have dinner at the inn, since the restaurant was closed, but our neighbor in The Sea Ranch highly recommended it saying, the experience is akin to being in France. A wonderful romantic escape well worth the journey.

Elk was gorgeous and so relaxing! Our room overlooked the beautiful ocean where we got to see the sunset and tons of stars from the balcony. The bed was very comfortable and we slept great. One of the highlights was the delicious food. We dined for dinner our first night and breakfast was delivered straight to the room each morning. We will definitely be coming back!

Excellent location and service . A home away from home! Views are breathtaking from the property . Good hiking places near by . Would love to come back again . Very competitively priced during weekdays for this looking to manage a tight budget .

We have been to Elk Cove about 3 other times. This time under new ownership. Elk Cove still has the same charm and comfort as before. The rooms are well appointed and comfortable and the view is beautiful. There are a couple of wonderful additions and they are now having breakfast delivered to your room and the addition to having a restaurant on site. The dinner we had was absolutely wonderful. You will not be disappointed if you stay here. We shall return again.

What a wonderful surprise! We had such a great time and can’t wait to go back!! Just the nicest people and you just can’t beat the views. So relaxing. The cabins were so nice and they had everything you could ever need. Super clean with great views of the ocean. They had a walkway that lead right to the beach.
