"Unbeatable location looking over the castle and fishing harbour which is truly atmospheric. That more of less excuses everything else! Rooms are basic with not all plug sockets and lights working and coffee maker was missing. The restaurant was good and excellent value in the evening. Breakfast was less so and very basic. When we arrived there was nobody with working English to check us in. We had problems with access to the beach resort venue (which has a terrific pool by the beach and is free) as the hotel policy had changed from a free shuttle to a charged taxi. This caused confusion. Everything worked out right when the English speaking manager returned including sorting out our onward travel at a sensible price rather than the almost double quoted initially. We may have been a little unlucky. I stayed here in 2013 with no problems."

"After my traveler and I left Accra behind us, we were happy to stay at the Royal Elmount Hotel. The photos looked good and the lady who secured our booking was also ready to send a copy of her passport, as confirmation that the booking was actually made. The Hague Embassy obliges people to obtain a visa to obtain these detailed information, including a written personal confirmation by the person who made the booking. How to become a attractive country for tourists??? With construction facilities the hotel meets the expectations, but the service I find very small. With three people in the dining room, but before the dinner arrives, you're more than two hours away. A quarter of American guests waited for the meal even longer. The location needs an eye of a professional to get the logistics well; the eating departure and the way you come here doesn't really help. If you were sitting in a wheelchair, this would be a barricade to not take. There is a great deal of improvement in the management of the tent next year, if it is to be a good assessment, and the possibility is there, and the way is now! The staff is not bad, but the professional management deserves strengthening, to show it eufemisticly, because the location and the buildings are beautiful to see."

"Excellent beds and food ! Very smpathetic staff and very nice rooms. To reach excellence, some doors may need maintenance in order not to touch the floor and some fans are noisy. Easy to upgrade I think. I recommend strongly to anyone who wants a peaceful rest in Ghana"
