Elounda Orama
"Just home from a 2 weeks stay here. It is the 3rd time we have stayed here but will definitely be our last. The whole hotel is in dire need of renovation. The rooms are grubby as are the towels and We had 5 days with no hot water despite reporting this on numerous occasions to reception The steps to the toilets at the pool are a hazard there is no hand rail on either side The sun beds are grubby and stained . The upper pool area in run down with broken sun beds tables and parasols thrown in a pile. Avoid this hotel at all costs ."
Elounda Heights (Adults Only)
"We visited Elounda Heights for the first time in 2024 and have just returned from another week in this delightful family run hotel. Their warm welcome, high standards of service and attention to detail are exceptional and its impossible not to relax from the moment you arrive. The views of the bay and Elounda town are beautiful and make sunrise spectacular for those that rise early. Freshly cooked breakfast around the pool, drinks and lunch at the pool bar, and delicious dinners in the restaurant in the evening is a recipe for relaxation. Rooms cleaned everyday and spotless. The whole team are fabulous and all deserve a mention - Vangelis, Ritsa, Katarina, Cleo, George, Elaine, Christina, Sandra and newboy Manos - thank you for a wonderful week. Natalia and Kostas, don't change a thing, its perfect. See you in 2026 :-)"
Elounda Garden Suites Heated Pool
"Absolutely loved our stay here! Perfect location, less than 5 minute walk to centre of resort. The grounds are beautifully kept, as is the pool area, bar etc. Our room was well equipped, plenty of storage and coat hangers! Bathroom had large walk-in shower and agsin plenty of space for toiletries etc, and shower gel and shampoo were provided. We also had a large L shaped patio with ample seating. All the staff were really friendly and helpful. We had complimentary fruit , water & wine on arrival. All in all a perfect holiday location. Would highly recommend."
Elounda Alikes Suites & Studios
"Fantastic room in a great location with amazing views. Booked with Jet2. It is close to bars and restaurants. The rooms are very spacious and have a small area with fridge , sink and hob. The room was cleaned every day to a very high standard and bar staff were friendly. Very comfy sunbeds in the front garden area."
Elounda Akti Olous (Adults Only)
"My wife and I enjoyed a lovely week here. Our room was more than adequate for us. Small balcony with a glimpse of Elounda and the sea. The staff are really nice people and can’t do enough for you. Breakfast was ok with all the usual suspects but lacked fresh fruit other than melon. They were mainly canned. Freshly squeezed orange juice was very good. It is well placed to walk along the promenade into the centre of town. There is their private shingle beach across the road which holds about 20 sun beds, of which nearly half were reserved by selfish people for longer than the permitted 30 minutes. It was the same at the pool. Nice bar on 4th floor with views over the bay."
Naiades Village Elounda
Elounda Sunrise Apartments
"Overall experience was ok. we booked a room for 3 people, spacious room, 2 beds and a sofa that terns into a bed. The only disappointed thing was the breakfast. You have to choose from a meny - not many options and none of them big enough. We had to look for a second breakfast option after that so I don't recomend that anyone pays 10e extra for that."

Elounda Gulf Villas by Sandglass
"We booked the hotel based on excellent reviews across a number of respected websites, even though the hotel looked a little tired from some of the photos. We had hoped excellent service would make up for it. Sadly there have been quite a few issues: - two bed suite was dark and dingy - the only view was from the kids suite was upstairs - pool filter broken so couldn’t clear sand from a recent sandstorm - main pool is not heated - power cut led to a noisy generator being erected next to our room - service at restaurant very slow. One night it took 1.5 hrs for drinks, a Greek salad, some cheese and kids pasta. We complained to manager who didn’t apologise - he just shrugged it off saying it was day 3. We asked twice through other staff, and all said they needed to speak with him, but he has not been in touch. - no inside option for dining at 12 degrees. Everyone dining in their coats. - limited menu options, especially for half board guests - basic issues in room not checked prior. We were the first guests this season eg WiFi, fridge not plugged in, coffee machine broken - very limited menu at beach club (only 2 items - one tortilla and Greek salad) We appreciate that there will always be teething issues in a hotel’s first week, but this isn’t a new hotel. It’s well established, markets itself ans a small luxury hotel of the world and very costly for the facilities and service."

Elounda Bay Palace, a Member of the Leading Hotels of the World
"We booked again for the Elounda Bay Palace, staying for 7 nights in June and looking forward to our 7th visit. We were given a lovely reception upon arrival as always, quick check in progress and were shown to our room. We had a side sea view which was different, but a good view towards the sea. Very clean and spacious with a very comfortable bed. Very close to the restaurant, which was convenient and access to the beach. Breakfast and dinner was excellent with a variety every night, and always hot and well prepared. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, and it makes our stay so much more enjoyable. We have always found the Elounda Bay Palace to be one of the best hotels in Elounda, and even though we have been to another in the early days of visiting Crete, we always came back to the Elounda Bay Palace, as we found everything as we wanted, such an nice atmosphere, relaxing place to unwind and forget about your stressful work life. We have booked to return in early June this year 2026 and it will be our 8th visit. We have booked for my birthday again, but this one isn’t important this, that was last year. We hoped to book one with a private pool, but not this time. Only just moved house, so that’s life. Looking forward to our 8th visit, and the Cretan sun and hospitality."
Elounda Infinity Exclusive Resort & Spa - Adults Only
"Extremely hospitable and helpful staff. The hotel equipment is completely new. The main restaurant has a very beautiful terrace overlooking the sea that offers a rich buffet, very good breakfast and dinner. Very beautiful view of the sea and the island of Spinalonga. Modern decoration, lots of storage space, very comfortable bedding. I highly recommend it !!!"
Aquila Elounda Village Resort, Suites & Spa
"Honestly it was nice! I like everything, clean, location is good too, employee so nice and helpful!! I recomment it specifically for adults !!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Elounda Breeze Resort
"There is no doubt this is a lovely hotel and good value for money , positives are the lovely friendly staff ,the views are absolutely stunning , drinks and cocktails are nice . We had a shared pool room which was nice but would go for the private pool next time . Breakfast and lunch offerings were good but I did feel that the evening meal was lacking in choice and a bit repetitive, other Slight negative points were the sunbeds were the moist uncomfortable we have ever experienced although the shared pool room sunbeds were very comfortable. The amphitheatre where most of the night time entertainment takes place is also very uncomfortable to sit for long periods of time and spoils the experience. Also the main bar is lacking in ambience and feels a bit souless at times maybe a bit of background music would change this. Although overall we had a lovely holiday and would probably return ."
Elounda Palm Hotel & Suites
Elounda Residence Resort & Waterpark
"Really enjoyed my stay. Fantastic views. Buffet lovely. Staff couldn't be more helpful. Great experience and enjoyed so much I am taking my wife and grandkids there in September."
Elounda Eleon Villas
"The most amazing place, staff were lovely and the villa was absolutely beautiful. we had a terrace and private pool to relax and soak up the sun and watch the world go by. We all have stressful jobs so it was nice to be able to step back and unwind. A short walk from the town and even able to have food delivered from a local shop. We very much miss the beautiful surroundings and will 100% return"
INNSiDE by Meliá Crete Elounda
"Beautiful views over Elounda Bay, very clean, pleasant staff, the food was nice but is repeated over and over the same type of food, gets a bit boring after a week. You need to be fit to stay here, the walk up to it from the road is very steep and there are flights of steps to access everything. There is no entertainment at all, just one bar with a little piped background music, so if you want a reasonably inexpensive, quiet week away and don’t have high expectations then this is a place for you, I would say 3 star not 4."

"From arrival to departure the service was of the highest level. Room was spacious. Beach and setting amazing. The water so clear. Cocktail bar wonderful at night."
Domes Aulus Elounda Resort, Curio Collection by Hilton
"From the minute we arrived until we left we received excellent customer service. Every member of staff was keen to help and go that extra mile. The facilities were perfect for our needs, a selection of restaurants all serving excellent food: Italian , Thai, Greek/themed evenings and an excellent self-service restaurant, also with themed evenings. A small, but perfectly formed, gym is included and classes were available too, e.g. yoga on the beach. Although we didn't try it, there was a spa. The view from all of the pools is spectacular. There is also a small private beach just a short walk from the main hotel. There is a choice of accommodation from basic to luxurious that vary and some have individual pools and balconies. Every room is tended to by kind and efficient staff. It's true that there is a very steep hill from reception up to certain accommodation and the infinity pool, however the staff provide a regular shuttle service so you don't have to hike. There are lots of things to do, including boat trips, general sightseeing and shopping in the nearby local town. Local cuisine is excellent too. I can't praise this hotel enough and I'll definitely be going back."
Elounda Peninsula Luxury Resort, Six Senses Spa
"This resort is magnificent. From the time we were greeted by the Concierge and she showed us the facilities; to the time we left, we couldn’t want for anything. The service is bar none, the suites are beautiful, the beds are incredibly comfortable; and the staff is friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurants is very fresh and delicious! We were so happy with our stay and are looking forward to our next trip."
Elounda Mare Relais & Châteaux Hotel
"We loved our two week break at Elounda Mare. We were in a one bedroom suite in the main hotel building, overlooking the pool and the sea beyond. The suite was a little bit tired in places, but very comfortable and clean with good housekeeping. The balcony extended across both the living room and bedroom and was spacious with great views. It was worth an early start to watch the sunrise. As others have commented the grounds are lovely and very well tended. There are a lot of steps and slopes as the hotel is set into a hill which drops down to the sea. Some lovely places to sit on the shore with steps into the sea, as well as the sandy beach. It was a 25 minute walk into town which we did several times, lots of nice restaurants on the water front. We liked Ferryman the best. Taxis are plentiful if you don’t fancy the walk back. The hotel bar was usually quiet, but pleasant with a nice terrace area outside. The boat round to the sister hotel was a nice little trip and the Italian restaurant there was very good. We enjoyed all the meals we had the hotel, breakfast was vey good with a wide choice and fantastic views. This was the only place where the hotel felt busy as a lot of the accommodation is in private bungalows/villas with their own pools. So the main pool was always very quiet and it was always possible to find a good spot by the sea, even though the hotel was apparently fully booked for most of the time we were there. The mid-October weather was beautiful. We hired a car and explored most of the eastern end of the island, which I would recommend."
Porto Elounda Golf & Spa Resort, Six Senses Spa
"Couldn't find many recent reviews on Porto Elounda so I thought I'd try and help out a little. It seems as though the hotel has increased listings with major UK tour operators for the 2025 season so the May half term has seen an increase in British guests. The setting is beautiful on Mirabello Bay and the restaurants all look out onto the shimmering expanse of blue. The hotel is positioned on a relatively steep hill but the resort has many golf buggies whizzing around if you're struggling with mobility. The rooms are spacious and the addition of private pools is a bonus for families. We stayed in the spa wing of the resort and the interiors are a little dated. They've tried to upweight the offering and modernise with ipads in the rooms which allow restaurant bookings. Bizarrely. they still have dvd players in the rooms. The maid service is very thorough and you get regular room tidying which is a big bonus. I would say that this resort caters for very young children nicely. For those with slightly older children like ours there is very little to do. There is no entertainment on offer within the resort and the focus is very much on dining. Elies beach bar is a lovely set up but sometimes the service let it down during lunch servings. The best part of the visit was the trips to the neighbouring restaurants on a boat journey. This was really spectacular at night and added a splash of luxury feel to it. My final sentiments are about cost. The bar prices are incredibly expensive which is prohibitive for some. €16 for an Aperol is unrealistic. If this is the pricing model then fine but at least add a Happy hour into it to stop the pool staff having to ask guests to purchase drinks. A lovely location but work to be done on becoming a true 5* resort."
