Jinding Villa

I was lucky enough to stay at Emeishan Zhuang, and the front desk ladies were absolutely wonderful – so warm, patient, and thoughtful. They were the best front desk staff I encountered on my whole Sichuan trip. Just for these lovely ladies, I'll definitely be back next time!

The room was actually cleaner and more updated than it looked in the pictures, exceeding my expectations. The front desk service was also excellent; they even upgraded our room proactively. The biggest advantage of this hotel is its proximity to the Golden Summit. After a day of climbing from Baoguo Temple straight to the Summit, it was incredibly comfortable to finally lie down in the hotel bed! The breakfast the next morning was also good, tasty and filling. All in all, it's a very good value-for-money option on the Golden Summit!

The service was great, and the room was nice with underfloor heating and very hot water. They even have a coffee grinder at the front desk. Breakfast offered a good variety, and the watermelon was fresh. It's only a two-minute walk from the Golden Summit, making it the best choice for an overnight climb to catch the sunrise.

The advantages of being on the mountaintop are obvious, and surprisingly, the service is also very responsive, completely making up for any shortcomings of an older hotel. From the public areas to the rooms and restaurant, everything felt clean and reassuring. The breakfast was incredibly rich, fresh, and delicious. While the furniture is a bit old, the bedding was spotless white, and the hot water pressure was excellent, making for a very comfortable stay. Every staff member I encountered – front desk, housekeeping, and restaurant staff, both male and female – was warm and friendly. I stayed for two days and was grateful for the upgrade to a room with a view. During my stay, I was lucky enough to witness the sunrise on both days, with Mount Gongga and both the big and small Wawu Mountains clearly visible to the west. It rained for about two hours each afternoon, and quite heavily, but after the rain, the sky cleared, and the misty clouds, coupled with the sun illuminating the Golden Buddha, were stunning. The management at Golden Summit is excellent, and there's a large area where guests can enjoy complimentary hot tea. There are also quite a few dining options on the mountaintop. The information on Ctrip was comprehensive and accurate.

The day before yesterday, we received warm hospitality, and on the day of arrival, we even got a free room upgrade. The room was clean and the bedding was fresh.

My room had a great view of the sunset and sea of clouds. The heated floors were a lifesaver and kept the room super warm. Considering it's on top of a mountain, the facilities were perfectly acceptable. Breakfast was decent too.

The hotel is close to Jinding (Golden Summit), so waking up at 5:30 AM to walk and watch the sunrise was perfect. The room's decor is quite old, but the front desk proactively upgraded us to a king-size bed. If you have back problems, be wary of the soft beds. The soundproofing is poor, so it might not be ideal for light sleepers. We also found that the disposable dental kit had already been opened, and we didn't bother to ask the front desk to replace it, which was a bit disappointing 👎.

Excellent! You can see the distant snow-capped mountains from the room. Absolutely worth the price.

How should I put this? There are only two hotels at the summit, so you don't really have a choice. The other one is Jinding Grand Hotel, and this one is actually Xinxin Villa. It's a monopoly, so you can imagine the terrible service. You can't check in early, and on the day we left, it was pouring rain, but they wouldn't let us extend our stay by even two hours to wait for the rain to stop, even though the next day's guests couldn't even make it up the mountain. They immediately said an extension would cost 100 yuan. The commercial atmosphere is very strong. Dining is quite expensive. A raincoat costs 20 yuan, and clothes are 30 yuan or something. It feels like there's always someone trying to sell you something expensive. Plus, the weather at the summit is unpredictable, and we didn't see anything. Honestly, there's no need to stay at such an expensive hotel; a day trip is more than enough. Just for your reference.
