"The hotel is not too far from the train station, just a few minutes' walk away. The hotel breakfast and dinner were delicious, and the staff were very attentive and helpful – definitely worth a thumbs up! The rooms were clean, but there was no air conditioning. The bathroom had heating pipes, making a hot shower very comfortable. The hotel also has a swimming pool and sauna, which are great for enjoying during your vacation."

The hotel is in a great, convenient spot, making it really easy to get around Engelberg, or walk from the train station. My room and the common areas were clean and well-maintained. The service was friendly and checking in was smooth."

"The hotel is located in the mid-levels which you can oversee the mountains in the restaurant and the balcony in your room. It is a simple, quiet and beautiful boutique hotel with no air-conditioner. 40minutes drive from the center of Luzern. If you will need to back to the hotel after 11pm, please be remembered the front door is closed and you will need your key to open the door. Recommend to those who will drive to travel in Engelberg but if you only plan to take a train tour, it is not for you. "

Hotel Engelberg "mein Trail Hotel" ★★★
"I booked this hotel as the price was good and reviews were very good. After staying for 5 nights I can honestly say the staff were exceptional. Nothing was too much for them and every single time you see them they always would smile and speak to you and see how you are doing. I cannot praise them enough especially the lady on reception (sorry I did not get your name). The room was extremely clean and although the decor was dated (which fit the theme for the hotel so not a complaint) you could see the cleaning was extremely good and always done daily. The beds were comfy but 1 small suggestion is the sofa bed to have a matress topper as it can be a little too firm in areas. The hotel is in a great location, shuttle bus nearby to titlis or brunni or even a very short walk to the local monastery. The only feedback I would give is the hallways at night got very dark and sometimes the lights would not illuminate the stairs or hall very well. I have to say during the stay though the staff corrected this but it took a few days. Breakfast was lovely small spread but very nice. Again staff were fantastic there and would always happily greet you Thank you to the team for our stay and for sure I would recommend and stay again"

I'll never forget sleeping in the most breathtaking view I've ever seen and waking up to the morning fog rising. I also loved the warm atmosphere of the restaurant, run by friendly people. I will definitely be back."

"A comfortable self-service hotel, just off the train station. The self-service kitchen is great. Only one or two people use it during the off-season. The kitchen is fully equipped and you can make hot pot, barbecue, and cakes. It is recommended not to book the smallest room, as the bed is narrow or the sloping roof is a bit depressing. Book a larger room with a wide lower bed, which is comfortable for two people to sleep in."

"We had a fantastic stay at this budget-friendly, apartment-style accommodation near Titlis Resort! The place was incredibly clean, spacious, and well-equipped, with lovely balconies to enjoy the fresh mountain air. It’s just a 5-7 minute walk to the slopes, making it super convenient for skiing. The location is great for outdoor activities but can be tricky for dining since transportation into town stops around 6 PM, meaning a .6-mile walk each way. However, the nearby Coop was perfect for grabbing groceries and cooking in the apartment. Amenities were well-maintained—the ski room was ideal for storage, and the washer and dryer were a plus (just remember to bring detergent!). There are extra charges for additional towels, but everything was spotless. The only downside was the beds—not the most comfortable—but the duvets and pillows were nice. A huge bonus was the great park for kids, making it a solid option for families. Despite a few small inconveniences, we’d definitely stay here again! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐"
