We stayed 2 nights in the Protea and I wish we could've stayed longer. Rooms were tidy and the dinner buffet was good. The pool was clean and large enough to fit large parties of people. Aesthetically the grounds were well kept and very tropical looking. The kitchen staff even gave us a boxed breakfast when we left on our next adventure.

I only stayed for one night and it was ok. The positives would be the nice and friendly staff and the buffet for dinner. The buffet during dinner had some items that I really enjoyed. My room was very basic. I understand there are not many choices for accomodations in the area, so this place was just adequate- don't expect too much.

My friend and I were on a tour and stayed at several Protea hotels SA. Most of the Protea brand locations are truly superb and wonderful. This one was lacking. The property has a nice ambience and beautiful landscaping and birds around it. The rooms are average and not up to the standards of other Protea hotels we visited. Wifi was spotty....I get it, it's Africa so not giving points off for this one. I am giving 2 points off for the slow service and just general bad attitude at the front desk and wait staff at dinner. With some good customer service training, a slight refresh on the rooms and this hotel will be back on track. Easy fixes!

Came to this hotel not by choice but rather it was provided by the gate 1 tour. Thank god we are only staying here for 1 night. Rooms are hot airconditioners doesnt work, rooms are smelly, linens are worn that im so surprise that they are part of Marriott. There’s a lot of staff standing around the reception area yet no inter personal skills at all. They need training in the hospitality business if they want this place to thrive. But i guess they are confident since theres no other one within the area?

Mooi gelegen hotel, zeer ruime kamer prachtig gelegen in een soort botanische tuin.Ik werd gewekt door de vogeltjes wat niet erg was. Vriendelijk personeel alleen niet iedereen spreekt Engels. Het bufet was niet erg uitgebreid maar wel lekker. Kamerindeling is een beetje vreemd. Wifi werkt alleen in de lobby.

Schöne Anlage mit zauberhaftem Garten aber leider drum herum nur Hauptstraßen .Auch wir hatten uns das ganz anders vorgestellt , besonders die Anreise zu den Reservaten - alles liegt mindestens 45 Fahrminuten entfernt . Sehr gut ausgestattete Zimmer ... Dass in dieser Anlage große Veranstaltungen mit bis zu 400 Personen ( Kongresszentrum ) abgehalten werden ist unverständlich . Während unseres Aufenthaltes gab es eine Hochzeitsfeier und ab frühem Nachmittag torkelten die ersten Betrunkenen durch das bildschöne Gelände . Mit Ohropax haben wir dann die Nacht überlebt ...Abends gab es lediglich ein schlichtes Buffet , keine weitere Karte wurde angeboten. Wahrscheinlich war die Küche überlastet . Freundliches Personal.Wlan nicht in den Zimmern ...

Emplacement tte bruyant en bordure de route. Chambre agreable et équipement correct. Par contre hôtel fantôme, vide, j’ai croiser personne. Restauration catastrophique, beaucoup de personnel pour une attente interminable... 1h15 d’attente pour un plat de pâtes ! Buffet non appétissant... A revoir

Wir haben nur eine Nacht dort verbracht. Das Hotel liegt in der Nähe des Hluhluwe und Umfolozi Game Reserve, ca. 20 Minuten Fahrzeit. Als wir dort waren, waren noch 3 zum Teil grössere Reisegruppen dort. Das Service-Personal war teilweise etwas überfordert, das Essen (Nachtessen und Frühstück) war eher durchschnittlich. Die Zimmer sind gross und wurden alle vor kurzem renoviert und neu gestrichen.

Essen im Restaurant ist mangelhaft! Niemand im Restaurant, trotzdem dauert es 45 Minuten bis das Essen kam. Bestellt wurden 2 Steaks Medium-Rare und ein T-Bone Steak auch Medium-Rare. Gekommen haben wir 3 Tod gebratene Stücke Fleisch sowas habe ich noch nicht erlebt! Mein T-Bone steak habe ich zurück gehen lassen. Nach 25 Minuten als alle mit ihrem essen fertig waren kam dann auch mal der 2. Versuch aus der Küche war dann ok wie das Bild zeigt.
