"A year ago, this was a great hotel. Maybe the management changed or something. Now it is not the great place it used to be. Very often and for a long time, the electricity is turned off, so the air conditioning in the room will not work and it will be very stuffy and hot. You can go to the bathroom and you will not have water or there will be very little pressure, you will not be able to wash yourself normally. This is a good hotel, but if they want people to stay there, they need to change a lot, and not focus on the military, who can tolerate a lot. Also, during the day, you can't bring your friends or acquaintances to your room, at the reception they will demand $ 30 from you, citing security. This is not even at night, but during the day. A semblance of a miniature prison. Probably the only hotel in the whole world. Only they know how $ 30 affects security. Food for thought for everyone."

"My son had two stays in May 2025 when he arrived and June 2025 when he departed at the Marriott Protea in Entebbe. He was there for a medical trip and stayed two days at the hotel. His experience was wonderful both times. The hotel is an oasis very close to the airport. They also have have a great shuttle to and from the airport. The pool, the restaurant, and most importantly very nice rooms made his stays wonderful. A huge thanks to Mr. Cymon Charnley and his whole team at the hotel. A highly recommend staying here if you are ever traveling to Kampala and Entebbe areas or have family traveling here."

"Worst hotel experience of my life! Disgusting, dirty, and completely unprofessional. The so-called “all-you-can-eat buffet” is a joke — they serve you like dogs and even refuse to give basic water. On the first day we had to “choose” between juice or water, which is ridiculous and unacceptable. The rooms are INFESTED with bedbugs and cockroaches. I had to fight just to get hot water. I brought my own tea bag, and when I asked for a single sugar packet they refused. That’s how cheap and disrespectful this place is. This is not a hotel, it’s a nightmare. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this place. It should be shut down!"

"The ambiance and beach views at Saffron Beach Entebbe are truly stunning—relaxing at any time of the day. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the food. Our party of four visited on February 15, 2025, hoping to enjoy an early dinner and try their Indian dishes. We ordered a variety to get a sense of their range: Butter Chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala, Mutton Rogan Josh, and Chicken Curry. To say we were disappointed would be an understatement. The flavors were underwhelming, and the quality did not justify the price, especially compared to other restaurants serving similar cuisine. The naan was lukewarm at best and more burnt than properly cooked. It felt as if the chef wasn’t present that day, as the dishes lacked the care and authenticity we expected. This was our first visit, and while the location is beautiful, we wouldn’t recommend their Indian dishes at this time. Hopefully, they can improve in the future."
