We visited in May 2025. This was our fourth stay at the Agamenon. We cannot rate this hotel highly enough and we seriously recommend the hotel in every respect. It is a very peaceful place to stay, in a beautiful location, just outside of Mahon. The rooms are modern and absolutely spotless. We stayed half board and the buffet breakfasts and buffet evening meals were first class, with a huge range to chose from and all excellently prepared. Well done chef ! All of the staff were so friendly, professional and helpful. It would be pointless to name the staff individually as they were all our friends before we left. Well done guys and girls ! What more can I say. For my wife and I, another 100% experience. We will be back for visit no.5 in the not too distant future. Well done Seth Agamenon !

This hotel has, in our opinion, some amazing positives, but also some stark negatives. Let’s start with the good stuff. The hotel is in an elevated position with the most stunning views of the estuary into Mahón harbour, possibly the best view we have ever had from a hotel & our superior room on the top floor enjoyed the same outlook. Next, the staff. Every single one of them, in every department was brilliant. Always cheerful, helpful & happy to go the extra mile for their guests. Wouldn’t normally mention an individual by name, but on this occasion we will break that rule & say Cilli was perhaps the best receptionist we have ever experienced. A long standing employee & simply superb. Breakfast was excellent with a huge choice including cava. The bar snacks/lunch was also good. The negatives; the hotel looks tired. The exterior needs a lick of paint, the furniture & decor needs modernising. Our room, although huge, was sparse, the flooring was cheap & starting to lift. Most similar standard hotels now have a coffee machine in the room. This one had a kettle but no socket next to it which is ridiculous & you have to pay for the room safe, which should be included in a 4* hotel. The bed was rock hard & admittedly subjective, but extremely uncomfortable for us. The shower however, was fantastic. Apparently the hotel has been sold & should the new owners read this, we would say; keep the staff, promote Cilli, make the obvious improvements necessary & you will have one of the best hotels on the island!

We stayed at the Seth Agamenon hotel from the 1st to the 15th October 2024 and had a fantastic time. It's in a beautiful, peaceful situation in Es Castell, Menorca, and within easy walking distance to the harbour at Calas Fonts. I'm 73 and have a bad back at the moment, but I found walking around there quite easy. We had a lovely room with a sizable balcony, on the top floor ( there's a lift), with a beautiful view over Mahon harbour and port . The room itself was spacious, exceptionally clean with everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable too. I think it's the best wardrobe space we've ever had in a hotel - a large , double built- in one. The rooms were cleaned every day, and towels could be changed when you wanted. The hotel do ask you to consider the environment though and maybe not change them every day. The dining room had beautiful views onto the sea and across to the Ille De Rei. The food was lovely and there was plenty of choice to cater for every palate. We were half board so had breakfast and dinners there. The staff were amazing!! After two weeks there it was hard to leave as they made us feel like part of the family. They went out of their way to help and were very warm and friendly . A huge thank you to all the staff !!! Seth Agamenon is not an all glass, cold clinical, ultra modern looking place. We wouldn't have booked it if it had been. The atmosphere is warm, friendly and very comfortable and it wraps itself round you like a glove. So many of the guests had been many times before, which just shows how very good it is. We loved it and we couldn't have asked for more. We will definitely go back there.......soon!!!

Another wonderful stay at our favourite hotel. As always the staff were fantastic and they always make our stay more enjoyable. We were half board and as usual the choices at breakfast and dinner were good. Unfortunately my wife tripped over in Mahon at the start of our holiday and broke her arm, so it was different holiday to those we’re used to. We made the most of it though. A very special mention to Cili who was so helpful while we were sorting out the medical side of things. I won’t go too deeply into it except to say that without her the whole thing would have been far worse. Thanks again Cili. When we returned at 10 p.m. after 7 hours in A&E we’d missed dinner but the staff had prepared us a wonderful salad, which was very good of them. (See photo) Everyone was so kind and were always asking if my wife was ok. Ernestina, who I believe is the Area Manager was lovely and made a point of asking after her whenever she visited the hotel. The weather during our stay was mixed but it’s nice to sit in the lounge with a drink and look out over the estuary at the ships and boats going back and forth. We’ve already booked for next year and all being well we look forward to seeing everyone again soon.

The hotel is in a beautiful location. Fantastic views over the harbour. All the staff are friendly and helpful. Pool area is well managed. Reserving sun loungers is not permitted and doesn’t happen and there are plenty of beds for hotel guests around the pool and in the garden area. Breakfast buffet has a huge selection of dishes. Dinner buffet also has loads of options. We hired e-bikes from Bike Menorca in Mahón (about 1.5km from hotel and easy walk) and can park them overnight in the hotel. There is one little restaurant Picatapas in Cala Corb about 15 mins walk away and a couple closer to the hotel in the locality. There are many others jn Mao and Cala Fonts about 40 mins walk away. Taxis are readily available. The hotel breakfast buffet is great with a wide selection of lovely food. Dinner is also buffet and is a good option if you don’t want to go out. There are no sandy beaches nearby but plenty of places to swim from the rocks or pier. Mao (Mahón) harbour is a really interesting and lively area - quieter for lunch but very busy at night so booking probably advisable. Several boat trips are available.

Stayed at Seth Agamenon Bed & Breakfast 5 days 4 adults Beautifully located hotel..views are out of this world. You can sit all day & night a watch the boats go in & out of Mahon harbour. Excellent staff..rooms cleaned everyday...delicious snack bar food. Lovely pool. Always managed to get sunbeds (party of 4). Pool was amazing. About 10 min walk into picturesque Es Castell. Would recommend taking the Water Taxi from Hotel Jetty to Mahon Harbour approx €20 per head return journey. Hotel can organise. Only issues..buffet night time meal was expensive & not worth the money unfortunately..maybe not our taste but meals outside hotel were cheaper. However breakfast & snack bar were ideal, tasty & not hot!!. Rooms bit bare..but bathroom s & views made up for that. Will definitely be back We ❤️ Menorca

I booked this as a last minute getaway literally a week before . This was a holiday for myself and my 8 year old daughter . I wanted something quieter and relaxing and this hotel certainly fitted the bill. Reception were super friendly . You got a really personable service . My daughter loved Harold at the bar , he was just such a lovely man and he made the best cocktails . The views from your room , dining room and bar were all immense . Good food and service in restaurant. My daughter can be fussy but she didn’t starve . Every member of staff we encountered was brilliant . Rooms were spotless . Decent hair dryer in room . I almost don’t want to tell people how lovely this hotel was to keep the crowds away and keep it a little treasure . Things I think you need to know before booking - nearest supermarket is about 10 minute walk away along with restaurants etc . This is a very relaxed hotel - no panic for sunbeds, no kids club. The hotel costs about 16 euros in a taxi from the airport . I only had 2 little things that could be improved . The air con just didn’t feel like it went cold enough - felt like it was an old system . There were a couple of times when we came back to room where there was a strong smell of cigarette smoke within our room . I can only think that maybe a guest was smoking in their room and it may have been getting in through vents / air con . This really isn’t hotels fault but more for guests to be more considerate . Would I stay here again - absolutely !!! It’s a hidden gem ❤️
