4 days into our break. Hotel is lovely, had a fab room 527 which overlooked the sea & the pool. Only one hiccup is that the shower cubicle is minute, even for me & I'm quite small. Hotel is only a stones throw from a lovely beach and acouple of little beach bars and one or two restaurants . Its adults only & a mixed age group staying here at the moment. This place is great if want a complete chill. Wouldnt recommend staying AI as apparently drinks were not great. We were HB & drinks in hotel were quite cheap. Food was really good at breakfast & dinner though some food can be a bit cold. We stayed for 6 nights & always found plenty of variety. Entertainment is hit & miss & not enough going on in & around the area for us even though we are in our late 60's so wouldnt stay in Santo Tomas again but we really enjoyed a relaxing break here.

Currently on the coach transfer to the airport and we are so sad to be leaving! This hotel is wonderful. The staff, especially in the restaurant are so friendly and entertained my 1 year old any time any of them came to / passed by the table. Anybody with babies knows meal times can be tricky, but it was a breeze! Such a laid back environment. The rooms were spacious, not ready on arrival but they never are until mid afternoon so this wasn't a surprise for us and we packed with this in mind so had all of our beachy bits on the top of the case to get to easily! The beach is a 2 minute walk, just out of the gates at the back of the hotel, along a shaded path (perfect for getting baby to sleep) and the beach is stunning! If you have a pushchair, there are some steps on to the beach, and the sand was very hot so prepare to move FAST! The food was great, lots of variety for the kids. Salad always available, lots of puddings, always a choice of meat or fish. Fresh pizzas and a range of pasta. The only thing I could pick fault with is the pool area, an upgrade is due and more bed space would be great! Cutting back/cutting down the trees at the pool area would eliminate the bits floating in the pool. We want to say thank you, for the service at this hotel. The staff really made it for us. We are so sad to be leaving! And would definitely come back.

I'll start with the good points: Bedrooms are clean and beds are comfortable. The entertainment team are fabulous and get everyone involved. The pool area is fabulous too. Now the bad - The food is ok but with flies landing all over it, it's a big no no. Food is mostly not hot anymore. Left too long on the got plate and goes cold. Salad always looks wilted and sometimes rotten! Same as the fruit, picked up a plum and completely rotten. On day of arrival our rooms weren't ready.which is fine, but just left there dumped no information about the hotel or anything. The cocktails are disgusting on the all inclusive! Not much better when you get one that you pay for either. The reception/sitting area stinks of human excrement . Nothing much in the area. You will need to pay for buses/excursions or hire a car. My teenager son got bored very quickly. We won't be returning as the bad definitely out weigh the good. Don't waste your money - much better and nicer hotels in the area for around the same price.

Just arrived home yesterday from an absolutely brilliant stay at Lord Nelson Contrary to reviews on here which have clearly been nit picking, my partner and I really couldn't fault this hotel. We stayed in one of the apartments out the back by the pool with a balcony overlooking the pool area. Yes they were small but considering the fact youre only there to sleep or change in, they were absolutely fine and couldn't fault them! All of the staff were extremely friendly but special mention goes out to Tracey on reception, and Cinthia/Ania the entertainment girls who always kept you entertained and smiling the entire time. We were all inclusive so could pretty much get most things. Food was okay, pretty standard and same choices with the buffet however the hot food counter where 2 chefs cooked changed it up with different themes each night - i personally enjoyed the tapas and Mexican! Drinks wise was the only let down. Cocktails on the all inclusive list are very watered down. We paid for a cocktail off the list and it was much nicer and also beautifully presented. In fairness the cocktails off the list are cheap enough at €6. The location is absolutely amazing with the beach only a boardwalk away, a mini market for any snacks or pool floats right beside you as well and gorgeous walks along the coastal path at night. Overall we really couldn't fault it and genuinely loved our stay here with yourselves and would definitely return in the future.

My Hubby and I stayed here for a week at the beginning of July . We had an amazing week and would definitely go back again ! The hotel is spotlessly clean in every area , housekeeping do come a little early in the morning but put your sign on the door and you can enjoy your lie in . The room was small but functional ( it’s only a place to sleep and refresh after all ) it had a lovely balcony with a clothes airer and a small fridge to store bottles of water or snacks . Food was lovely , something different every night or choose from the salad and cold meats cheeses selection . We would defintaley return .

This was just what we wanted: An easy quick flight A quiet and relaxed environment (no annoying music around the pool all day) A fantastic pool (the photos of the pool don’t do it justice- it is huge!) Food was good (especially the breakfast) Staff were friendly and helpful Room although on the small size was clean and functional Evening entertainment Very close to the beach If we ever need quick break to recharge in the future we will definitely come back here. Probably wouldn’t come for more than a week and we were only here for 5 days but we feel so refreshed after our stay.

Perfect for a first chill holiday as a couple. Had to pay for safe and tax. However no security (anyone can walk in). It is an adults only hotel but kids were coming in to wash feet. Mainly for old people who get up at the crack of dawn to claim a bed. But we were able to still get a decent bed by pool around 9:30. Girl who ran entertainment was great. The pool was good but has dyed our swimming costumes yellow. The hotel has a nice walk way to beach. Not sure if you have to pay for the beds on beach but we didn’t. There is a shop 1 minute from hotel which was amazing. We used the bus a couple times to visit towns. However, they do run every 3 hours. It is a lovely town with a few restaurants if you don’t want to eat at hotel. We were all inclusive which was definitely worth it for the snack bar and drinks. The restaurant did themed nights so the food was different every night but still had the basics. Would recommend to an older couple or a younger couple who just wanted to chill.
