Magnuson Grand Pioneer Inn and Suites

Beautiful lake views. Clean, comfortable room. And friendly, helpful staff. Also convenient free shuttle to Mackinac Island ferry. Highly recommend. Would definitely stay here again!

The hotel itself was great. A good value for a clean and friendly environment. My only concern was the TV...no channel guide per se. Nothing in writing and what's on the tv is in sections. The desk said the guide was on channel 48, but that guide doesn't contain the base channels....they are on a different guide channel on the TV. It's hard to scroll through channels and know what you're getting. I would suggest providing a written guide or a QR code guests could scan at the front desk to get the information. I don't watch a lot of tv, so I would stay here again. But if my husband was with me, I'd need to go somewhere where the tv was more user friendly.

Pictures do not match rooms. Their suite is an actual joke not worth the money we spent. The restaurant was delicious but pricey.

The Room was very clean and comfortable. Had problems with WiFi. Wasn't able to get it connected. Breakfast was only cold variety of cereals, muffins and bagels

The hotel needs to join the 21st century. No USB ports. Electrical outlets did not provide enough power to charge my phone or hearing aid charger without my having to figure out which ones (there are very few) worked at all and then it took an inordinate amount of time to charge. Very frustrating. Restaurant is excellent, although pricey. Entire staff was professional, personable and helpful.

Friendly staff, clean room, good bed, paint job pleasant. Coffee maker in room, difficult. Lighting in room not good for reading. Breakfast area - no table, we had to sit on a sofa to eat. Amble breakfast.

The picture online showed a nice renovated rooms. Our room was not renovated in At least the last decade and had a funny smell. The beds were also very uncomfortable. The ratings and pictures were deceptive.

The room was not as big as expected, but it was fine. Comfy beds and pillows, the continental breakfast was better than average (love that cinnamon raisin bread) I would book this hotel again.

Spent one night there with 4 kids, got the suite and the room was very nice, lots of room and very clean. The pool was nice and the kids appreciated the 8 foot deep end for jumping in. Every staff member i spoke with was very friendly. They have a nice bar and restaurant and 24 hour coffee. Only thing i would have liked to have was a hot tub but not the end of the world. They have a nice continental breakfast , nothing warm but plenty of cold options and cold yogurt and eggs. I would definitely go back!
