I really wanted this hotel to be as magical as advertised, and be able to rave about this place, sadly it wasn't the case! The hotel setting is very nice - in the forest, in the nature, with birds chirping and loads of walks you can go on - but there are certain things you need to be aware of: - it is not right by the lake as the name and descriptions would suggest - it's about a 10minute walk down a steep slope with stairs - not accessible for anyone with disabilities or generally not comfortable walking up or down steep hill... (once you do get down there it's wonderfully refreshing for a swim!) but if you're expecting to wake up to a lake view - you will be disappointed - there is no option to buy food for lunch, and for dinner it is a very limited choice of few dishes each night, and they are relatively small portions with big price tags - if you have any dietary requirements you might have nothing suitable to choose from, which I think is the biggest downfall of this hotel! (there is a great lunch all-you-can-eat buffet across the road in the Nature centre for half the price with great views but it closes around 3pm) - sauna room is absolutely tiny with free access hours split for women (07:30-08:00) and men (08:00-09:30) - so if you are travelling as a couple you will have to book and pay evening sauna to use those facilities, and not great for women who have to wake up very early if they want to use the sauna - this was incredibly disappointing! - cost of the evening sauna is 50 euro - you're better off booking the lovely sauna right by the lake which is again half the price, much bigger and more comfortable and you get to cool off in the lake - the rooms are small which is understandable for a former dormitory, but there is no other areas for guests to use to relax in - few sofas outside which are great in the summer, but you still feel like you're disturbing those that are dining, and I can't imagine what it's like in the winter when everyone will be trying to sit inside. All the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, and this hotel could be absolutely fantastic, but unfortunately the cost of rooms combined with the issues mentioned above just leaves you rather underwhelmed and won't be able to recommend it to others.
