GGuest UserFirst off, I'm a repeat customer, not a competitor! Every summer, I take my child to Chengdu Zoo. Last year, I stayed at Muzi Hotel without a car and had a great experience; the staff were very warm and attentive. This year, I recommended it to my family again, but the outcome was extremely disappointing. My husband even told me to just give a bad review. After some thought, I feel I must clearly explain this experience!
**1. Incorrect Location!**
We booked one room via Baidu Maps and another via Ctrip. The address provided by Baidu Maps was incorrect. We were already exhausted from driving, and it navigated us straight to a building materials market. It took us a while to drive around and get back on track!
**2. Parking Hassle!**
Free parking for one room only lasts 12 hours. We had two rooms, parked after 4 PM, and were told we had to drive out and re-enter the parking lot at 4 AM to get another 12 hours of free parking. Otherwise, it's 3 yuan per hour, which is completely unreasonable. It was raining heavily at night, and when we drove out and re-entered the parking lot at 7 AM, we overstayed the time limit and had to pay an extra 9 yuan. It felt very unaccommodating and troublesome! This is the first time I've encountered such a situation!
**3. Breakfast Staff's Bad Attitude!**
When we went for breakfast after parking our car in the morning, the auntie in the red uniform with an apron spoke to us very rudely! I thought we could dine using our room card, but she gave me a stern look and insisted we needed breakfast tickets. I then remembered the front desk had given them to me. Not wanting to cause trouble, we went back to get them before returning to eat. She was already cooking noodles. When my husband and I asked her to cook two bowls for us, she didn't smile at all. She complained unhappily and aggressively, saying, ”Don't ask for this and that! Can you even finish it? Some people waste food, not even touching a single bowl!...” I was stunned. I said I hadn't wasted anything, and my husband also got angry, asking why she was complaining to us when we hadn't wasted anything! The whole experience left us feeling extremely bad and upset! We are all in the service industry; her attitude was so unprofessional! It felt like she worked as if everyone owed her something!
**4. Unhelpful Service!**
We planned to take our child to the zoo the next day. The day before, we asked if we could have a late check-out until 2 PM. A front desk manager gave various excuses. Later, we said never mind, not to trouble them, and decided to check out in the morning without delay, put our belongings in the car, and pick up the car around noon, as it was only a few minutes' walk. She then suggested that the zoo also had parking, and we could park there. It just felt like she was unwilling to help with anything. I thought to myself, our 12 hours of free parking at the hotel wouldn't even be up by then (we parked at 7 AM), making her suggestion unhelpful for our situation. We then insisted it would be more convenient to walk a few minutes, otherwise we'd have to find another parking spot. Only then did she stop talking.
**5. Careless Front Desk!**
My mother forgot to take her traditional Chinese medicine from the hotel cabinet. She only remembered when we were already on the Mianyang expressway on our way home. We had to drive an hour and a half back to retrieve it. The front desk claimed they had called and sent a text message reminder, saying that we didn't answer. I still appreciate them keeping it safe and not throwing it away. But after checking my phone, I hadn't received any calls or texts, so I asked the front desk which number they had dialed. It turned out they dialed the wrong number! I left a number ending in 2003, but they dialed 8003. How incredibly careless can they be!!!
**Pros:**
There's a microwave, and a robot delivery service is convenient. They provide children's slippers and toothbrushes, and disposable toilet seat covers (although the quality isn't great). The staff at the 6th-floor and ground-floor front desks were still nice and quite welcoming, even serving us tea during check-in.
