Another amazing stay at IKOS Andalusia. There were a few teething issues with service that we are putting down to it being opening week, but on the whole, top tier as usual and still a 5 star stay. Darko and his team were superb and really took care of us for our beach meal. I did notice this year they’re trying to accommodate adults only as much as families which we definitely appreciated but you do have to go and understand this is a families first resort and there will be (a lot) of children. If you’re reading this and thinking: is it really worth it? YES is the answer! But IKOS - give us an adults only soon .. please! See you IKOS Oceania in the summer.

This place is the best all inclusive I have ever stayed in. Superb super superb. Christas and Martha on checkin were second to none. We requested a room change to a room with a garden as opposed to balcony for our little boy, no issues and all luggage moved for us. Food- incredibly good. Every single restaurant is top drawer. Drink- unlimited options. Excellent. Wines really good too. Beach- worst part of the resort but still ok, pools and rest of it are so good you don’t need to use the beach! Service / staff- the best customer service ever. WhatsApp chat / concierge is a total game changer. Nothing is an issue for them. They just get great customer service, seems so obvious when you see them do it, very naturally done too, not excessive. Family oriented- brilliant for young families with kids, we had our 2 year old with us. All restaurants have areas for families where it’s chaotic and kids doing kids stuff but also have quiet and adult only areas. Pools- first 2 days pools were chilly, especially the kids pools, but by day 3 they seemed to have sorted it. The central pool and scented pools were definitely the warmest. Poolside waiters also brilliant and QR codes make ordering to your loungers so easy. Play areas/ sports facilities are excellent. We will be back, to this and other Ikos resorts. Brilliant set up, can’t fault it. Only downside was the queue for breakfast which was at times 5-10 mins long to get a table. Not a massive issue at all. Thank you!

If Tina Turner did resorts this would be 'Simply the Best'. I'd give it 6 green blobs if I could but 5 will have to do. This is our third trip to Andalusia and it just can't do any wrong. We've been to a number of Ikos hotels but this has to be our favourite. We arrived on opening day, in fact we were the first guests at the resort on 27th March. From the warm welcome by security (we arrived in our own car) to a line of staff waiting for us to roll up to reception - we couldn't have been more welcome. The whole resort feels like home, managed by people that feel like close friends rather than staff. Whilst I parked the car my wife was escorted to a table and the check-in process commenced. As usual a glass of champagne is suggested - and who would refuse - and we were drifted through the formalities. We were offered breakfast at 'flavors', which felt like private dining, as we were the only guests there. Breakfast done and off to the room. We were allowed access to the room very early on as it was the first day of opening so that was a nice touch. I managed to be the first person to swim in every pool this year which was a first for me - and quite amusing for the staff I'm sure. The resort is extremely well laid out and easy to navigate. From what we could tell there are no accessibility issues with sloping paths leading to every part of the resort. The pool areas are idyllic, and the plants/vegetation on site are beautifully maintained. Even the relatively new deluxe area looks as though it has always been there. Just a credit to the designers and builders at Ikos resorts. There's a lovely path that fronts the sea and this stretches south westward to Estepona or north eastward to Guadalmina. It's a good walk in a morning if you fancy a brisk hour or two. I could provide detail on each eatery in the resort but food is a personal preference, someone's caviar is someone else's fishy slime. Needless to say there is no shortage of choice from Italian to Thai, from Greek to Spanish. If the a-la-carte restaurants don't float your boat then there's always a good selection on offer at the buffet. What I have to mention though are the staff. My wife and I were humbled by the kindness, the generosity, the attention, and the overall caring attitude of the staff. They work like nothing else - always with a kind smile , a moment to ask you how you are, and a final 'can I get you something else?' I'm going to mention a few people - because it is impossible to spend what has been one of the best holidays for us in a long time. These people deserve our respect and our gratitude. We were treated like family, the staff didn't know us when we arrived but my goodness leaving them all was the hardest moment of the trip. Dionisis - service with a smile. He was the first person to meet us at the resort and made sure everything was perfect each and every time we saw him. Valerio - an engaging individual with an interest in everything. We had a lovely 5 nights at Ikos Andalusia and were so lucky with the weather given we arrived on opening day so very early in the season! The staff are lovely and so good with my 3 year old boy. Food fantastic! Service slow at times and often get orders wrong or food cold, but that could be teething issues with the start of the season. Not all wines available which was disappointing and repetitive entertainment for the children. We did love the mad scientist for the children and the white party was amazing and really made our last night special. We booked directly with Ikos and as we had an early check out wanted to settle the bill the night before however they queried the price I had booked per night (even with written confirmation) so has to be dragged out until tomorrow morning when we leave (not what I wanted when an early checkout with a 3 year old is stressful enough!) so a disappointing end to what has been a lovely stay. There also seems to be a real focus on adults only areas even more so this year with only 2 a la carte restaurants for breakfast ( you can no longer have breakfast at ouzo) and adult only areas meaning you can’t sit in the sun anywhere for breakfast when you have a child - a shame as it was too hot for our child to sit out later in the day. I feel it may have lost that family feel so would be reluctant to book again.

Darko and the Chiringuito Beach Restaurant Team are fabulous. It’s always busy, as the “Service” is exceptional, “Food” is amazing and the views are sublime. Darko and his Team make you feel so welcome, so you must pop in and say hello, as Darko’s warm personality and lovely character, will make you agree with me “it’s the best place to visit when you stay at IKOS Andalusia.”

Amazing hotel, the service levels match or better Dubai, Great location the staff were brilliant from start to finish, special mention to Carola the reception Manager and Peter who made the stay perfect. The car service provided for the day by the hotel and the lunch provided was a lovely touch with Peter recommendations to visit some of the local areas such as Ronda was beautiful. The restaurants were fantastic especially the Indian Night at the buffet really nice food cooked the way it should be. We will be back 100%, I thought the Sani resorts were good but this IKOS Andalusia has topped them all with the amazing rooms, Service and the great vibe this hotel offers nothing was to much trouble at all.

Best hotel chain I've ever encountered. Could not fault it if I tried. Staff service above outstanding, always ensuring the best experience. Food choice and quality outstanding . Seven pool areas and numerous restaurants ensure it never seems overcrowded. Can't wait to try another Ikos hotel

So disappointed. I love Ikos resorts and have visited all resorts apart from Odisia, most of them several times. This was my 6th Ikos trip of 2024 and I was so excited as heard that Andalusia was the jewel in the Ikos crown. I found that the general attitude was can’t do rather than the usual Ikos mantra of can do. Had lots is issues and absolutely would not return. I submitted a survey when I returned but was not contacted so clearly a tick box exercise. I was travelling with two other couples who are also regular Ikos visitors and none of them would return to Andalusia. The staff at the deluxe pool were amazing but literally felt let down by everything else.
