Another amazing stay at IKOS Andalusia. There were a few teething issues with service that we are putting down to it being opening week, but on the whole, top tier as usual and still a 5 star stay. Darko and his team were superb and really took care of us for our beach meal. I did notice this year they’re trying to accommodate adults only as much as families which we definitely appreciated but you do have to go and understand this is a families first resort and there will be (a lot) of children. If you’re reading this and thinking: is it really worth it? YES is the answer! But IKOS - give us an adults only soon .. please! See you IKOS Oceania in the summer.

What can I say about the Ikos Andalucia. It is without any doubt the best all inclusive resort in the world that we have ever stayed at. We had a superb hotel room with a balcony overlooking the Deluxe Pool and restaurant with the Beach and the sea behind. During our stay we dined at all seven of the different themed superb a’ la Carte restaurants for lunch, breakfast and dinner. We also had lunch at the Chiringuito on the beach and the dined out at Tikitano both were equally fantastic. All the menus at these restaurants have been specially created by top Michelin star chefs, the quality and presentation of the food was outstanding. The service we received was exceptional and every single member of staff could not do enough for us. Nothing was too much trouble. I could easily name every single member of staff for giving us excellent service during our stay. I have shortlisted a selection for of the most memorable below. George @ Ouzo Restaurant Nikos @ The Main Bar Anna @ Customer Relations Team Ivana @ The Main Bar Also not forgetting the delightful Duty Manager Pilar Artacho Miranda. We have also stayed previously at the Ikos Olivia in Halkidiki which was also equally amazing. I would highly recommend Ikos Hotels as a brand to everyone, we will definitely be back again and again. Thank you all.

IKOS Andalusia did not fail to provide the excellent holiday experience for which the IKOS brand is renowned. Everything about the resort met the highest standards, from the rooms, the restaurants - 7 a la carte and 1 buffet style - to the pools and bars. The staff throughout the resort are amazing, always smiling and happy to help. There was always someone available to deal with any queries. The restaurants provide exceptional food and drinks and we ate every night, and some lunchtimes, in one of the seven a la carte restaurants. We lunched twice at Chiringuito on the beach and Darko ensured we were well looked after. Darko also looked after us in Flavors where we chose to have our breakfast every morning. The pools were very well managed with lots of sunbeds, towels and constant drinks and snacks available. You even had your sunglasses cleaned. We did use the spa on one occasion and were disappointed the steam room was not hot enough and there was no jacuzzi but these are the only shortcomings I can think of and they did not spoil our enjoyment during our six night stay. I would definitely recommend IKOS Andalusia.

This place is the best all inclusive I have ever stayed in. Superb super superb. Christas and Martha on checkin were second to none. We requested a room change to a room with a garden as opposed to balcony for our little boy, no issues and all luggage moved for us. Food- incredibly good. Every single restaurant is top drawer. Drink- unlimited options. Excellent. Wines really good too. Beach- worst part of the resort but still ok, pools and rest of it are so good you don’t need to use the beach! Service / staff- the best customer service ever. WhatsApp chat / concierge is a total game changer. Nothing is an issue for them. They just get great customer service, seems so obvious when you see them do it, very naturally done too, not excessive. Family oriented- brilliant for young families with kids, we had our 2 year old with us. All restaurants have areas for families where it’s chaotic and kids doing kids stuff but also have quiet and adult only areas. Pools- first 2 days pools were chilly, especially the kids pools, but by day 3 they seemed to have sorted it. The central pool and scented pools were definitely the warmest. Poolside waiters also brilliant and QR codes make ordering to your loungers so easy. Play areas/ sports facilities are excellent. We will be back, to this and other Ikos resorts. Brilliant set up, can’t fault it. Only downside was the queue for breakfast which was at times 5-10 mins long to get a table. Not a massive issue at all. Thank you!

We had a fantastic stay but I mostly wanted to share how pleased and grateful we were with our babysitter at the hotel, Lydia. Lydia did dinner time and bath time with the kids so that we could join friends in the evening and she was utterly brilliant. The kids loved her and looked forward to their evenings with her. We couldn't have asked for more. Thank you Lydia.

Third visit to an ikos property and they continue to not disappoint. I would like to acknowledge Darko and his team at the beachfront lunch restaurant. Great, great service and just as excited to see him each morning for breakfast. The ikos model works for me.

I’ve been staying at this hotel once or twice a year since it opened in 2021, and it never fails to impress. Set in a beautiful location, it offers an experience that’s both relaxing and luxurious. I’ve always loved the restaurants, the staff, and the excellent facilities. This year was no different, although our visit had a special twist. This time, I travelled with my mum, my daughter, and my granddaughter. In previous years, I’ve mainly used the adult-only areas, but this time we spent a lot more time at the splash pool – and it was brilliant for the little one. I had visited with my granddaughter two years ago when she was just a baby, but this time we were able to fully enjoy the more family focused spaces. In particular I like that adults are sat separately from the children. When I travel with my friends this is perfect for us. Just like this trip where we were seated with other families. As always, the staff were outstanding. They truly make the difference. Pilar, the duty manager, was incredibly helpful and professional. Darko and Elizabeth in the Chiringuito were fantastic, as was Elizabeth. Natalia at the beach club deserves a special mention too. And the gentleman in the lobby bar (previously in the main bar – I wish I could remember his name) was, as ever, absolutely brilliant with cocktail recommendations and impeccable service. The food continues to be excellent, and I was pleased to see some updates to the menus this year. A refreshing change for returning guests like myself. The only minor hiccup was a longer wait for food one evening at Ouzo, but it didn’t affect the enjoyment of our holiday at all. We had a wonderful stay and I’m already counting down to my next visit in just three days. Looking forward to another relaxing week in beautiful Andalusia.

Positives: beautiful hotel and landscapes, impeccably clean, great amount of activities to do. Room spacious and bed comfy, staff all extremely friendly. Negatives: the most pertinent thing that I must highlight is that my mother (in cancer remission), my sister and I all came down with food poisoning during our stay. We weren’t sure if it was food poisoning or a stomach bug, but having seen a similar experience recounted in a review posted a moment ago, it seems likely that it was the former. I understand that these things happen during mass cooking, but these are not the hygiene standards you expect from a five star hotel. We informed the hotel staff and they confirmed that no other cases had been reported, but we now know this not to be true given the review just posted. I am just thankful that my 85-year-old grandmother didn’t also contract it. While the hotel was luxurious, it did feel manic at times with restaurants being understaffed. Additionally, I was in building 3 and found that at night there was a constant whirring of a generator, not making for a peaceful night’s sleep. It is also true that there were a lot of children but this was perhaps due to it being the Easter holidays, and there were spaces and activities dedicated to children so not sure one can complain (unless hotel advertised as tranquil environment). Lastly, I would have liked to have seen greater transparency regarding the hotel’s commitment to sustainability. I was conscious of the excessive amount of towels being handed out at pools, and thus the general scale of laundering the hotel must require in a region that suffers yearly droughts and water shortages. Additionally, while I understand that it is an international hotel chain and I do appreciate the effort of the staff to speak English, I got the impression that this was almost a pre-requisite for employment. I speak Spanish myself but the staff always resorted to speaking English. This is obviously great for a clientele that is largely British, but I hope that the hotel conducts a sustainable model in caring for the social wellbeing of its staff, particularly in light of the issues that Spain is facing due to mass tourism.
