Sunset del Mar Beach Resort

The most relaxing vibe ever. The staff were warm and welcoming. The pool was terrific and the sunsets were so memorable. The restaurant and the chef provided fresh and delicious meals. Nice to have a home cooked breakfast every day included. Lots of birds, iguana. If you want to explore a bit you may need a car as there currently is no taxi service that you do t have to arrange in advance. New management doing very well! We will be back and bring the family

The location was great, the room was compact but cozy. you could hear the birds chirping in the morning which was great. Bed and pillows were soft. It was a nice feel. The staff were amazing. Wendy, Aamel and Michael went above and beyond to make sure i was comfortable and i had what i needed. It is away from the city so renting a car would be ideal. The food was good, drinks were really great and the view was amazing. Activities and tours options could be better but this is a place of relaxation.

Stayed in rodent infested beach house. Cleaned pile of hair from shower drain so family wouldn’t see it. I left the large kitchen knife near the entryway due to the unsecured feeling and sketchy horror movie feeling that we had. Main floor was storage and rodents . Creepy silence all around. 10pm I observed a person smoking probably crack watching our windows while I had lights out. The persons lighter was lifting up every 20 seconds or so… pretty sure that’s crack. lol. Employees smoking nuts in dining area. Excursions were hosted by locals. They advertise for so many different excursions but they either don’t exist or they are by local peeps. We gave no warning to Daria about our exit.. she seemed nice but felt a possibility we walked ourselves into a trap and didn’t want to get robbed. The video of rodents making sounds in walls was enough for us to get some money back. That was a scammy process. They did everything they could to delay so they could get the time past the credit cards dispute time frame. I disputed with 24 hrs left lol just to test them . The manager or owner scam artist tried getting me to end dispute before they refund money. Ya ok I am going to fall for that . By the way..the menu was huge but more than 1/2 the stuff was not available . Food was not great.

A rare hidden gem! Beautiful property, Beautifully pool, Beautiful beach, wonderful staff. The owner was present and very attentive to our needs. Great value. I will share this place with all of my friends and family! Clean. Welcoming. Definitely coming back!

The overall stay was completely amazing! The staff is the kindest and super helpful The food was just amazing! You gotta try the ranchro eggs it’s so good Pool & beach is really good Clean and tidy Thankfull for this time in this amazing place Romantic and family friendly
