Clean and tidy. The room is compact but a good pice of packaging skill. Looks like everything came from IKEA, does not justify 4 stars. Worst point was the noisy bar which last night played loud music until 2am. When asked to turn the volume down at 1am, they refused and we were offered another room. Not much use for skiers needing an early start. Should be 2 or 3 stars....not 4

We are a group of 50 poeple coming every year at the Montarto Hotel and often go to the « piano bar » before to eat. One of us is very good at playing piano and we used the piano for 1 song at the bar when the waitress told us we are not allowed to use it because « the owner want to leave a piano at the bar but it is old and only for his personal use when he comes with his family ». Then we’ve been asked in a very bad way to stop using the piano despite people around the bar enjoying it. Why having a piano bar but only for the owner use ??

Generally excellent except for evening meals Almost everything about the hotel was excellent; Staff - genuinely friendly. Big shout out to Carlos, the courtesy shuttle driver. Location relative to ski slopes Room Ski lockers The only source of disappointment was the evening meals. Generally the main course(s) offered were adequate, though sometimes on the smaller size. Last night however, the meal arrived cold. This leads me to believe that the meals are pre-prepared and then microwaved for serving which is not what I would expect. Also, the main restaurant does not serve coffee for dinner/after dinner - one is expected to go to the bar and pay for this.

The best thing about the hotel CARLOS, the driver of the track van. The hotel rooms are very small and the access to the bed that you have to go down two steps is very narrow if a person who is a little strong does not enter. The best thing about the bathroom, the shower compared to the rest, is a dance floor because it is so big...lack of accessories such as a shelf or hangers to hang. The meals... we took half board, the breakfast was very varied and for dinner the second course gives you a choice of 1 of 3 dishes. We caught fish every day that was 3/4 parts garnish and in the middle or in the corner you could hardly see the piece of fish. I have to highlight that we had been to this hotel 6 times that we knew how everything worked and especially if you take half board the hotel takes care of the tickets to eat on the slopes which is very good especially because this way you avoid searching and/or eat sandwiches. What was our surprise that this year when we got it on another page and not the one on the montato which was more expensive €400 difference... we didn't get the tickets because we didn't get it on its own page... but EVERYTHING IS PAID. HERE NO ONE GIVES YOU ANYTHING. I mean that those €400 on the other page are the tickets.

Las plazas de pàrquing demasiado justas, la atención de recepción muy buena, las instalaciones "visibles" remodeladas, las habitaciones estilo japonés por lo pequeñas, estuvimos 10 minutos buscando el water y estaba escondido en la pared, sin ventilación 😱, la ducha baño todo integrado en la habitación, sin una simple nevera donde poder tener bebida fresca. Las paredes son de papel de fumar. Tienes la sensación de estar en un hotel de playa lleno de turistas de low cost. El desayuno para nada esta a la altura ni de las estrellas ni de ser el Hotel emblema de Baqueira, ni productos del Valle, ni quesos, ni patés... Creo que asi no se promueve el turismo del Valle de Arán. Quesos de barra medio fundido tipo plástico, sin variedad de surtidos de panes, zumos calientes de máquina, muy poca variedad de fruta, embutido, bolleria, café aguachirri... És una lástima que un hotel como Montarto de 4* tenga esta gastronomía. Los trabajadores de Restauración aunque hacian su trabajo se nota que no son profesionales.
