Gasthof Zur Strass

I haven't been there for a while and the restaurant is in good condition. The waitress was attentive and immediately pointed out to me that they no longer serve the rice and meat menu. So I ordered a mixed salad as a starter and then the mushrooms a la crème with dumplings. Unfortunately, it was served all at once and I left the meal to warm, so to speak. When I inspected the salad, I immediately noticed the dry, thick slice of cucumber and I suspect that the salad had been prepared the morning before. Dressing is always a matter of taste, somehow and anyway. I was then surprised by the scorching hot plate that I was served without warning, although it was only that hot on one half. Unfortunately, I couldn't tell whether the mushrooms a la crème were, chanterelles, or a mixture because of the dominant salty taste. But the dumplings were fine and I then got a free espresso "on the house" because I complained. For the spritzer at 4.30 euros, I would have at least expected a different base wine.

Preis Leistung ist top. War schon öfters hier. Zimmer sind sehr sauber. Kann man nur empfehlen! Küche ist sehr gut, sowie das Service! Frühstück läst keine wünsche offen. Komme immer wieder gerne her. Nähe zur Stadt Salzburg ist auch ein großes Plus.

Wir waren heute Abend zu zweit im Restaurant. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und direkt platziert und mit einer Speisekarte versorgt. Aktuell sind Backhendl Wochen. Man kann sich eine Beilage dazu aussuchen. Das Backhendl war knusprig, zart und saftig, einfach lecker. Das zweite Gericht war ein Cordon bleu, aber nicht gefüllt mit Schinken und Käse, nein viel besser. Die Füllung bestand aus Speck, Zwiebeln und Pfifferlingen, einfach göttlich. Durch das schlechte Wetter haben wir nur die Gaststube gesehen, die aber sehr gemütlich und traditionelle eingerichtet ist.
