Executive Motel

Eugene|1.7km from Valley River Center
One of the 3 worst motels I have ever booked in... So bad I did not stay the night. I booked a room through Expedia because I was working entertainment at an event that was going to run well past midnight and didn't want to drive 3 hours home after. I didn't need anything fancy, just clean, safe and reasonably comfortable. While checking in, the other guests that I saw looked way too much like characters on COPS, and I don't mean the ones with badges! Sadly, the motel staff was not much better. I didn't have time before my gig to start looking for something else, so I checked in at about 6PM. The place seems to be a regular problem spot with local police due to the clientele. I was required to sign a waiver notice for evictions due to drugs, fights, loud noise, intoxication, etc. Entering the room, the smell was distinctly like ”stripper's perfume”, if you know what I mean. The bedspread looked like someone had been walking on it with filthy bare feet. I had been driving for several hours, and still had to work most of the night, so I pulled back the dirty bedspread to take a nap. After about 20 minutes, I heard a loud argument between one of the managers and a guest about whatever they were doing in their room. Getting ready for my gig, I didn't feel safe leaving anything of value in the room, so I packed it all back into my car. At that point, I decided that I would rather drive through the night after working, than come back to Executive Motel. $93 for a 20 minute nap!

We stayed here to see a concert at the McDonald Theatre just down the street. We really liked the room and free breakfast. The separation between the bedroom area and bathroom area is one of the best ever. The front desk clerk was very nice. The hotel is very conveniently located in downtown Eugene. We would give it 5 stars, but the bed was just a bit too firm.

Here for a conference, and all was great. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The customer service was super nice and everyone seemed happy in their work. The conference amenities (customer service, rooms, food) were all done well.

Only place we stay when we are in Eugene Oregon. Love everything about Hyatt Place Oakway Center Eugene. Breakfast is awesome, room was really clean. They sent text messages prior to arriving to make sure if we needed anything prior and checked up on us during our stay. For sure we are returning.

We walked about 2 minutes to the student center for a tour of the University of Oregon. Then we also walked to the stadium, which is a beautiful walk over a bridge. Breakfast was ok, it’s food. Bedrooms are old, but clean. The accent chair had a stain, so we placed a towel over it and just didn’t sit there.

The accommodations were as expected, which is not bad for a motel. The thing that really stood out to me was the staff; each person at the front desk was extremely friendly and polite without being too intrusive or over the top. I really would give the staff 5 stars if it were possible to rate them separately. I think partially the problem is that I am not used to staying in motels, and perhaps went into it with high expectations. My boyfriend told me that his experience was as expected, so I am mainly basing this review off of his perspective. The bedroom for the main part was clean. The bed did have a few questionable marks on it, and almost seemed a bit off-white or dingy. The furniture itself was clean, however, just a bit worn down. There was also a peculiar smell; I thought it was overpowering disinfectant, my boyfriend said it smelled a bit more like urine to him. Hoping for the first. The main problem is the bathroom, and this is what I've read in every review almost. PLEASE. Fix your bathrooms. Clean them. We didn't even dare use the shower, the bottom of the bathtub was chipped and had dust in it. It wasn't as dirty as the other reviews claimed, but it was definitely not up to normal standards. There were a few concerning stains/dirt clumps on the floors and walls that I was too terrified to look at up close. I am a bit of a hygiene freak, so I'm giving this a more generous review because it honestly might just be me. Otherwise, it was a perfectly fine stay. Not too noisy honestly. Even my rowdy neighbors seemed to be respectful as it got later. I really thank the friendly staff for making the experience nice!
