"First stop in Portugal was in Evora at the Vila Gale Evora Hotel. Our experience was wonderful. The hotel was very modern with restaurant, pool and bar. It was run very efficiently and the staff was very personable and helpful. The rooms were comfortable and bed was great. Give it 5 stars. Like to thank some staff ...Constanca, Joana, Bea and Miguel, the asst. mgr. for the restaurant reservation he got for us on our last night in Evora at"Lombardo's", it was a winner."

Quinta da Amendoeira - the Farmhouse

"The apartment itself is neat and quite spacious, which made the stay generally comfortable. However, the bathroom design is very impractical. The door is made of heavy glass and doesn’t close properly, which means it doesn’t provide much privacy. It feels like a case of style over functionality. We also chose this place partly because it is a bit outside the city and has a restaurant that was highly praised in the reviews. We arrived in the evening tired and hungry, expecting to have dinner there, but it turned out we couldn’t use the restaurant even though it was still within opening hours. The staff told us the entire restaurant was reserved for another group. This situation felt quite ridiculous, especially since no one had informed us about it in advance and no alternative was offered, not even something simple that could be brought to the room. In the end, we had to order food from McDonald’s, which is not really the kind of meal you expect when staying in a place like this... :/ Breakfast was also rather disappointing. The scrambled eggs even had small pieces of eggshell in them, which was quite unpleasant, and there were no vegetables available at all."

"Very large room with a private bath. Comfortable bed, quiet neighborhood. The young lady who welcomed us gave us parking advice. There is a communal kitchen, but we didn't use it. It is about a half kilometer walk to the old center of town. A nice little cafe is up the street. "

"Stayed in the double room with terrace, comfortable, modern, good a/c, located just off Giraldo square. Large shower with full doors, tv with English channels, nice staff. Did not have their breakfast, went to cafes nearby for that. Value OK."
