Excellent service from the lovely gentleman at reception. He was welcoming and informative. Room was clean with everything we needed and well serviced. We had a cocktail in the bar before we went to bed and it was perfect!

Absolute gem.Lots of history.Clean throughout. Lovely room with sea view.Plenty of storage.Very friendly helpful staff ,Nazeen was always there with a smile. Had a cocktail in the super bar and it was delicious. . I would advise booking car parking space,as limited.

Lovely 4 night stay in this historic hotel, with a fantastic location, walking distance to the train station, sea front & town. Friendly, accommodating staff. The restaurant & bar area were tastefully decorated. Breakfast was tasty & plentiful. We'll be back!

This is an old building so expect the usual issues with it - it’s NOT a premier inn !however it was spotlessly clean and the staff extremely courteous and helpful as I arrived late at night . Room spacious and lots of toiletries and beverages. No milk alternatives to hand in the beautiful breakfast room but staff had oat milk and brought it to me . However the milk was “off” , the orange juice “off” the bread was stale and the toaster didn’t fully work. This knocked my confidence in regard to eating there again. A shame as this was the big let down for me .

We spent one night at this hotel. From our arrival to our departure the young man on the desk was helpful and courteous. The hotel came under new ownership a year or so ago, and the family are gradually refurbishing. Our room was very clean with a new bathroom. The room had a lovely sea view too. There is a well stocked bar and a very nice restaurant, with local artwork on the walls. The bar and restaurant are open to non residents. The breakfast is buffet style, plentiful, and nicely presented. They serve dinner in the restaurant which they are converting to an all Indian menu, the curries we tried were delicious. If you would like a steak or fish and chips, they likely will not have those on the menu, however there are lots of restaurants in walking distance. All in all our stay at the Manor Hotel was welcoming, comfortable and reasonably priced. I recommend it highly.

I had booked an Afternoon Tea for Two via Groupon as a Valentine's gift for my partner and despite living fairly nearby had never actually visited this hotel before. We were given a very warm welcome by the very pleasant gentleman at the Reception and shown to our table in the nicely furnished and comfortable bar area. Our Tea was delicious! A variety of sandwiches, sausage rolls, scones, ample strawberry jam and clotted cream and some lovely cakes, along with unlimited tea. Altogether a very happy experience and we will return!

I booked two Premium afternoon teas as my Nan is soon to be 99, unfortunately there was a mistake with the booking date, I spoke to the guy at the desk ( as I'd somehow booked a week later! ) and he was extremely helpful, and said he could still book us in if we came back in around 30-40mins. The afternoon tea was really lovely, and my Mum and Nan loved the addition of the Prosecco too. The guy could not do enough for us, even putting the heating on as my Nan was cold. I'd thoroughly recommend this, and I'd like to thank the guy who made it so special. We are also thinking about booking again soon, and hopefully try the sausage rolls too.

On booking the gentleman advised we would be upgraded to superior on arrival if he hadn't sold out of that category. Despite being the same gentleman this was not offered and we were given a standard double sea view. The hotel only had half a dozen guests the room was small and basic but ok. Bed comfortable. Bathroom tiny. Larger people wouldn't be able to use it! Quite disappointed.
