This was the greatest room we had during our New-Zealand trip so far! We were welcomed by the sweetest person ever, the mom of the host. We loved the personal whiteboard with our names on. The room was very spacious and clean. The bed was the most comfortable we had in a loooong time! Thanks for this amazing stay!!

We were late to book an hotel in Tekapo so we chose here. It was a quite clean and confortable place for a good rest after long drive.

Warm welcome by the owner. The room is great and you can't pick anything wrong. Fairlie is a small but great town. Easy to get to MT Dubson. A bakery in the town is famous and close at 4pm.

At first, I was worried that it would be the same motel as I had in mind, but it turned out that motels in NZ still give people a warm feeling. This time we booked a studio room, which is about 30 minutes away from Lake Tekapo where we wanted to go, which is considered a distance. Nearby accommodation. When we arrived that day, the owner had already written down the names of everyone who made reservations and the unit number on a board, and placed it in front of the office door. The keys were already ready and you could just check in, followed by the owner and her dog. I met the dog briefly and had a small chat, which was super nice! The room is very big, comfortable, and clean. Even if there is a slight problem with the bathroom door handle, I wrote a memo reminder in advance, which is so considerate. In addition, I put fresh roses and two chocolates on the table, so sweet! Super recommended!

It's a very surprising room, with a bathroom and kitchen utensils. The bed is comfortable and warm, the heating is very good, and the hot water is very good. Right in the center of the town, in a quiet and deserted town, there is actually a Chinese restaurant. Someone cleans the room in the hotel every day, and the starry sky at night is beautiful! Although it's half an hour's drive from the lake area, it's very cost-effective. It rained heavily the night before, but early the next morning we actually saw snow-capped mountains in the distance.

The room is very clean, with complete facilities and equipment, and good service. Even though I stayed for one night, it was still very comfortable. There are many breakfast shops around, and the price/performance ratio is relatively high.

The town of Fairlie is not big. Her home is not far from 4 Square and the famous bakery. The store owner will leave the key on the door and write the room number on the blackboard at the front desk.

Great

The room is large and comfortable to live in. However, there are a lot of small flying insects at night. Even though the windows are closed, there are still fish that slip through the net. The sound insulation effect is average, and it is a bit far from the center. It takes 40 minutes to drive. Fortunately We rented a car, and there were lights outside the room at night. It was a pity that we didn't see the Milky Way.

The room is large, with 3 beds, and the hygiene is good. The bathroom is a bit small. For the price, it is very cost-effective. It is also very close to the highway. The sound of cars at night is a bit loud and the old lady at the front desk is a bit angry, but it is understandable. The price-performance ratio very high

This motel is no-frills, but has everything you need for a comfortable stay, and that includes good wifi as well. Not only great value, but the people who run this motel could not be more friendly. As a matter of fact, I think they are wonderful. Whenever I visit Fairlie, I stay at the Aorangi Motel, and that speaks for itself.

Clean, comfortable, quiet and convenient - just what we needed when in Fairlie. It is easily walkable to the town for meals yet easy to find and park the car. Good, friendly family business. Recommended if you are travelling through the area.

This is a quiet little motel. Easy walking to the grocery store, where we got supplies for breakfast. We had a small kitchen in our room. The pillows were very thick but there were thinner ones in the closet. Cookware needs updating. A spatula broke and the fry pan wouldn't sit flat on the stove. We had a comfortable night but it needs some updates.

The hotel is fairly easy to find with its large signage outside. The office is located at the rear of the property and there is a large area in front of it to turn vehicles around. There wasn't anyone in the office when we arrive but the blackboard did let us know which unit we were in. The room was already warm and it was quite comfortable. there was a single car park in front of the unit so it was fairly easy to get everything into the room. The room was quite spacious with a small dining area and a kitchenette. There was plenty of plugs around and the WiFi was easy to get on and decent. As Fairlie isn't very big, it was quite central to the town, being a few minute's walk away. It was also close to the museum. The driveway is off the main highway so it makes it a bit safer as the road adds a buffer. It was quite a nice stay. We only stayed overnight and there was no one in the office the following morning. I just left the keys in the room and texted the phone number as they weren't picking up the calls.
