Negative: No wifi or TV which is okay if you know ahead of time and choose that but to me it was not a fun surprise. The bed was so uncomfortable and the rooms were not clean. Positive: Beautiful property location. Reasonable rates. Dog friendly

First time stay at the lodge this summer. Clean, functional, and tho’ rustic, it suited us. Plenty of space for 2, adequate kitchen. The view & proximity to the water was great! Easy location to visit other nearby lakes and attractions. Affordable. Sound-proofing of the suite was less-than-ideal but can be overcome with a little creativity. Friendly, helpful staff. Would stay there again.

I am a repeat visitor. Yes, the cabins are not remodeled. That is what you will find with most cabins in the area here. It's rustic and back to basics. There is WiFi in the lobby/bar/restaurant. Lots of cabins do not offer a restaurant/lounge, but Silver Rapids does. Even when I have stayed down the road, I chose this place for cocktails. The staff is friendly and helpful. there are excellent views of both Farm and White Iron Lakes. Many options available from camping to motel to cabins. Grills and fire pits are provided, along with outdoor chairs, kitchen basics, and bed linens. Cabins have no A/C but do have window fans. This isn't supposed to be a Hilton. This is the Boundary Waters! This place is perfect for the vibe of the area.
