Great little motel off the highway. The room was clean, bed was comfortable, the area is quiet, the breakfast was decent- fruit, yogurt, bagels, toast, hard boiled eggs, biscuits and gravy, and of course, coffee. Definitely a good value for the price. Oh and the front desk guy was very friendly.

We stayed here while visiting Wind Cave. The rooms were standard motel. The other guests were also in the retired age bracket. It was clean and quiet but nothing special. We did not partake of the free breakfast in the morning. Parking was at the door.

This place took me back to my childhood. My family stayed in motels like this when we traveled as a family. And that was 50 years ago or more! This place has been recently refurbished, and they’ve done a nice job. Everything was extremely clean, and the air conditioner was brand new and it worked very well. The owner is personable and attentive. The entire staff is very caring. Loved the experience. Our one issue was the mattress wrap to ensure no bedbugs find a home there. It actually makes you sweat in bed. The owner has tried to mitigate that issue with cooling bamboo sheets, but they just can’t do the job entirely. That was our only complaint. Otherwise, great stay.

Stayed 2-nights on our hiking trek on the Mickelson Trail. Very comfy beds and bedding, on-site laundry, extremely clean and quiet. Our balcony room looked out at a Black Hills pine-covered hill, and benches for reading, resting, contemplation were outside rooms. Wally was welcoming, an excellent resource, and helpful.

My husband and his brothers stayed here on way to Sturgis. Great hotel, nice pool area. They all enjoyed it after a long day of riding. So nice to have a nice surprise every once in awhile! I had to add on another room a few days before the trip - owner could have jacked up the rate for the second room right during Sturgis - but he honored the original rate. We will be back! Thank you!

The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The new mattresses are soft and inviting. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. The biscuits and gravy were delicious. Highly recommend. My kids loved the outdoor pool. I would defiantly stay here again.

This is a motel-style hotel. We were able to park right in front of the room which was appreciated because we were traveling with a lot of luggage and I didn’t have to fight my way through two or three sets of locked doors to get our stuff from the car to the room and back. The room was very comfortable with microwave and refrigerator and a nice easy chair. Breakfast wasn’t as elaborate as at the big corporate hotels but was very adequate. The gentleman I dealt with in the office was extremely personable and helpful. All in all, it was a top rate experience.

Perfect motel style accommodation , clean, cool and functional. Comfy bed , decent shower. If only they had cotton bedding....Adequate help yerself Brecky, friendly team running the place. Pool area spotless, whole motel very well maintained Great location, walkable to town along pretty river trail and Mammoths just a 40 minute pleasant stroll away. Even threw in a spectacular thunderstorm gratis.... Support family run businesses whenever you can.
