Facilities: Very satisfactory tatami bed, very easy to find on the roadside, and next to the Jianshui train station, super convenient!!! Environment: The hotel is on the roadside, but the courtyard is quiet and elegant, and taking photos inside is also very good. If it is not a holiday, I feel that I can live in the courtyard for a month. Our room is close to the street. There is no sound when the window is closed, and you can hear the lively hawking downstairs when the window is opened. The a**osphere of life is strong Service: The boss's recommendations to us are not bad, and the breakfast rolls at the homestay are really delicious! ! ! Regret running out to eat on the first day (˵¯͒〰¯͒˵) The boss also helped us carry the luggage upstairs and sent us to the high-speed rail station. It was very considerate. I was afraid of being upset when traveling during holidays. The homestay I chose was so good that I wanted to stay for two more days (unfortunately there are not so many holidays). Jianshui is really suitable for long-term stays and slow relaxation

I have always been a bit hesitant to book this kind of old house B&B, fearing poor soundproofing, fear of noise, and fear of small rooms, but Zhuye Xuan completely subverted my concept. It is delicious, delicious, and comfortable to live in. Living here is cultural. Facilities: New, especially the water heater in the room, which I really appreciated. Cleanliness: Very clean. Environment: Photogenic, although we're not good at taking pictures. Just relaxing in the courtyard was nice. Service: Superb, very friendly. They even helped with our luggage at the station. It was truly better than I expected. I immediately extended my stay the next day. It's very close to the Seven-Arch Bridge, just a few minutes' walk. The guesthouse is right next to Daoli Park, which was still beautiful even though the rapeseed flowers were past their peak bloom. The rice noodles for breakfast were especially delicious. A northerner who had traveled all the way from Xishuangbanna ate them for two days straight, telling his companion he never wanted to hear rice noodles again! 😂 The bone broth and chili oil were incredibly fragrant. We enjoyed a walk in the park after breakfast to digest. 😁 During the day, you can eat at Jianlong (the sign is in traditional Chinese characters) next to the Qikongqiao parking lot. The food is light and delicious; if you prefer stronger flavors, just tell the owner. For those arriving by public transport, you won't be bored without a car. You can rent electric bikes to catch the train (there are shared electric bikes near the RV campsite's restrooms, but the seats are small; we found the nearest rental shop on the map and called the owner, who will tell you where the bikes are). It's a ten-minute ride (there are ancient bridges along the way, so you can enjoy the scenery). The area to Xianghui Station is very photogenic, and the fields next to the station are also quite charming. Inside the station, there are delicious cakes (super chocolate!), freshly baked pineapple buns with pineapple, and freshly baked Litsea cubeba beef pizza – super delicious! Two semi-retired people in their 30s were very satisfied in Daoli. We'll be back in a couple of days.

I'm a lazy person who rarely writes reviews, but this time I was deeply moved by the owner and his family. Even the cleaning lady was so friendly and lovely. It truly revitalized my solo trip to Jianshui. The hotel is perfectly located, away from the hustle and bustle, yet very close to the train station and the ancient city—just over a hundred meters away. There are many traditional rice noodle shops just outside the door, so you can leisurely fill your stomach before heading out to explore. When I was going to and from the station, the owner drove a tricycle to the intersection to pick me up, worried about the inconvenience of lugging my luggage, even though it was only a few steps away. In the morning, when they saw me in the room, they asked if I wanted breakfast (my reservation didn't include it). I had already eaten, but the owner insisted on giving me an egg for protein and a box of brown sugar before I left. The ladies said they'd come back next year, and I replied, ”I'll be back in two months!” ❤️ I'm from the north, and this family is so gentle and polite. The entire inn is elegant and grand. The two-story courtyard is surrounded by bougainvillea, where you can swing on the swings, watch the moon, drink tea, and chat—it's so relaxing. The interior is on par with a four-star hotel in the city, with separate wet and dry areas, disposable towels, and brand-new hard and soft furnishings. The air is also very airy. I don't like old, dingy hotels, so this truly felt like home! Thank you again to the owner for his thoughtful hospitality. He booked me a train ticket in the middle of the night, provided me with food, drinks, and hairbands, and offered travel advice along the way. Please keep driving! I'll be back with friends. We had a truly enjoyable stay at this lovely homestay in Jianshui. The hosts were warm, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything we needed. The accommodation was clean, cozy, and thoughtfully arranged, giving us a comfortable place to relax after exploring the town. The location was perfect—peaceful, yet just a short walk or ride to Jianshui's historic old town, the Confucius Temple, and the beautiful Zhu Family Garden. The architecture and local atmosphere were charming, and we felt like we got a real taste of traditional Yunnan culture. Our hosts also provided great suggestions for local food and sights, which made our trip even more memorable. This homestay was the perfect base for discovering the beauty and history of Jianshui. Highly recommended—we would happily stay here again!

A truly delightful stay! This stay was a complete surprise! The hotel completely changed my perception of traditional hotels. From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I felt the immense care put into every detail. In terms of hardware facilities, the modern design of the public areas made me feel very comfortable and sophisticated, with no hint of being outdated. The in-room facilities were very complete and comfortable, especially the mattress – it was just the right firmness with excellent support, allowing me to lie down and relax completely, ensuring a super comfortable night's sleep. The whole environment was decorated very warmly, giving a 'welcome home' feeling as soon as you entered. The service experience was an even bigger bonus. Every staff member had a kind smile, and their service was incredibly warm and attentive. From check-in to check-out, every step made me feel respected and valued. Overall, this is a hotel with a beautiful environment and excellent service. I highly recommend it to all travelers seeking quality!

The boss family is kind and friendly. At first, the children on the first floor arranged the room did not like it. Later, we directly upgraded the room type and lived on the 3rd floor. There was a balcony with our own. The proprietress must be a person who loves life. She planted a lot of meat on the balcony. She returned to the room at night to look at the scenery outside. It was a quiet and comfortable beauty. The children lived here very comfortably. I liked it.

We actually came back to this hotel for a second stay after visiting the terraces, which says a lot about the overall experience. The location is fantastic, very close to the old town and right by a lovely lake, making it really special. The girls at reception are also incredibly kind and helpful, even if they don’t speak English, they do their best using a translator. Cleanliness was decent but could be improved a bit. We would recommend choosing a higher-category room, as the basic ones feel a bit outdated and less comfortable. Overall, a great stay mainly thanks to the amazing location and the kindness of the staff.

We booked a mini double room and at the reception they made sure we liked it before giving it to us. In reality, despite being a mini double room, the room was spacious, with all the necessary amenities. We found everything we needed for the shower and hygiene. The cleanliness was absolutely perfect. Chinese-style buffet breakfast, although at the reception we were told it was an international cuisine. The location of the hotel is perfect for those travelling by train (15 minutes by bus from the station) and is a 20-minute walk from the historic centre. I absolutely recommend it!

The room was clean, the environment was nice, the owner was very friendly, it was close to various attractions, and the space was very large—the largest living room I've ever seen. It was also quiet and peaceful, ensuring I wouldn't have any trouble sleeping. There was even a balcony on the fourth floor where I could sunbathe. Overall, it was a great experience.
