Housekeeping was great, and the front desk staff was very welcoming. A special shout-out to the lovely Miss Zuozuo, who was incredibly helpful in recommending travel tips and local food. She deserves a big commendation. Souvenirs (Qingming Riverside Landscape): Very good and exquisite. Welcome Snacks: Yogurt and waffles were provided, which was a very nice touch.

It was less than a two-minute walk to the Yingbin Gate of Shangqing Garden. Stepping out of the hotel, you're right by the riverbank, and the evening views are especially beautiful. After a tiring afternoon exploring the garden, we could relax in the small courtyard and enjoy the scenery. Since we arrived quite late, the owner personally helped us with our luggage, which was incredibly welcoming. He also gave us recommendations for places to eat. Our first night was on the second floor, where we enjoyed the view from the balcony. Due to high demand, we extended our stay and moved to a ground-floor room with a small courtyard for the second night. Both rooms had their own unique charm. I rarely leave reviews, but I truly felt the owner's dedication to running this place, so I wanted to show my support.

Our stay at the FunGee Hotel (Gulou Square branch) was the most pleasant surprise of our trip to Kaifeng. The hotel is right in the heart of the ancient city, just a 5-minute walk from the Shudianjie Night Market. If you're driving, there's free parking directly opposite the hotel, and it's a convenient drive to places like Xiangguo Temple and Qingming Riverside Landscape Garden. The hotel is a trendy design hotel that opened in 2025. The lobby is located on the fourth floor and accessible directly by elevator. ⚠️ The rooms are spacious and bright. Do note that for inner-facing rooms, the 'floor-to-ceiling window' looks out onto a wall and doesn't offer ventilation. The entire room is equipped with smart voice control, high-end toiletries, and a mini-fridge. There's a QR code by the bed for some complimentary items. The mattress and pillows are very comfortable, and the room is quiet. The lobby offers 24-hour refreshments and drinks. During afternoon tea, there's an unlimited supply of fruits and desserts. Complimentary cocktails are offered every evening, and breakfast is served until 11 AM, with a good variety of tasty options. The front desk staff provided warm and efficient service throughout our stay.

This made getting around and sightseeing incredibly convenient. After exploring the garden, we didn't have to travel far to get back and rest. The overall check-in experience was great, and the service was warm and friendly. For anyone traveling, this place is perfect whether you're visiting attractions or just need a relaxing break. I genuinely recommend this hotel to friends visiting Kaifeng.

This is probably the closest hotel to the east gate of Wansuishan Mountain. Traveling with a child, choosing this hotel over a guesthouse was definitely the right decision. Cleanliness and hygiene are basic standards, and after a tiring day of playing, having the hotel just across the street was perfect. The hotel staff were very polite, and the front desk lady was lovely and very responsive. I'd like to specifically mention that the breakfast here is excellent, very suitable for children, and also great for adults who are health-conscious. We initially booked for 2 nights, and the service, environment, and location were all good, so we extended our stay for another 2 nights. If we come back to visit again, we will definitely stay here. PS: I wasn't quite used to the local Henan food, so the hotel breakfast really helped fill that gap.

For example, the air conditioning is quite loud, even on the lowest setting, and the draft from it hits both the side of the bed and the sofa. The sink drain also needs some improvement to prevent odors. The owner has received this feedback and plans to make improvements. Overall, it's a unique guesthouse run with great care, and being a 5-minute walk from the Qingming Shanghe Garden Welcome Gate is a definite highlight.

The hotel is fully equipped with everything you might need, from a refrigerator and safe to an iron, and even things you might not expect. The service was highly professional and attentive, and the room service was exceptionally thoughtful and thorough. The hotel's breakfast was also outstanding, with a wide variety of dishes and great flavors. Overall, the experience at this hotel was superb, and if I have the chance to visit Kaifeng again, I would definitely choose the Sheraton.
