Family hotels in Taiyuan

Traveling to Taiyuan, I booked the City View Hotel based on recommendations from others. As soon as we entered the room, it felt really comfortable. My son immediately said he loved it. The room was spacious and the layout was pleasing. The desk was quite large, perfect for my son to do his homework and attend online classes. The bedside table had a recessed surface, so things wouldn't easily fall off. Besides USB charging ports, there were also iPhone plugs. Under the TV, there was a long shelf for placing items. The toilet and bathroom were separate, independent rooms. There were two sinks and a large counter space. Upon entering, there was a large area where you could sit and place belongings. The Line 2 subway station is not far downstairs. It's a 15-minute drive from the airport. Getting to Zhonglou Street, Jinci Temple, and the Shanxi Museum all take about 20-some minutes. The only downsides are that the hotel is located near an elevated highway, so the soundproofing isn't great. You can hear cars passing by, which slightly bothered me as I'm a light sleeper. It seems to be in a newer district, so there aren't many places to explore nearby, requiring a bit more travel. This was my first time staying at a City View Hotel, and overall, I was satisfied.

When I arrived at the hotel with my luggage, Xiaoxia and Xiaoxin from the front desk immediately came forward to help. They made the check-in process smooth and efficient, with no unnecessary steps. They spoke softly and patiently answered all my questions without being dismissive. They were genuinely sincere, and my first impression was fantastic! The front desk staff even kindly upgraded my room, which offered a wonderful view! 👍👍👍👍👍 The breakfast was also delicious! 😋

This hotel is conveniently located near the airport and high-speed train station, with easy access to the highway. The Chinese courtyard-style design is charming and elegant. The rooms are spacious, new, modern, and impeccably clean. The service is excellent, with complimentary shuttle service to and from the airport or high-speed train station. The breakfast offers a good variety, and the 'knife-cut noodles' (daoxiao mian) are authentically delicious. Although the space directly in front of the hotel seems a bit small, once you step inside, it feels like entering a hidden paradise. While there are limited parking spots right at the entrance, there's a dedicated parking lot nearby, so guests traveling by car have absolutely nothing to worry about.

This hotel is located directly opposite Shanxi University and is very close to the South Station. The service was excellent. We were traveling with elderly parents and children, and the male front desk staff member proactively helped us with our luggage, pushed the wheelchair, and even escorted us to our room. We are extremely grateful for his help. Luggage storage was also very convenient. The ground floor has a cafe, and the hotel rooms are upstairs. The basement features a restaurant, gym, and laundry room, so the facilities are comprehensive. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel, but passing by, we noticed the breakfast spread looked plentiful and the environment was clean. The room was spacious with a separate wet and dry area in the bathroom. There was a small dining table and a small sofa, and the mini-fridge had iced water, making for a comfortable stay. The decor style and the ancient architectural paintings on the walls were consistent and stylish. Overall, it offers great value for money. We would definitely choose this hotel again when we visit Taiyuan.

The room was comfortable and spacious, which was very convenient for traveling with children. The hotel breakfast offered a good variety. We stayed for one night, then extended our stay for another day due to some errands. The staff were very professional. Facilities: Good

A Very Relaxing and Memorable Stay From the moment I walked into the hotel, I could feel a very peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The Front Office staff were very friendly and helpful. They took the time to talk with us, explain things, and made the check-in process very smooth. The room was very clean, spacious, and comfortable. I really liked the soft and relaxing colors of the room. The bed was big and comfortable, and the pillows were very soft. The bathroom, toilet, and dressing area were also well separated and well organized. There were also plenty of amenities in the room. I liked the evening turndown service. When we came back to the room in the evening, the bed had already been prepared, the lights were adjusted to a relaxing level, and there was a small snack next to the bed. After spending the whole day outside, this made us feel very relaxed and helped us forget how tired we were. The room was also very quiet. The curtains had two layers, so almost no sunlight came into the room in the morning. The air conditioner could be adjusted to the temperature we wanted, and the air did not blow directly onto us. We could not hear much noise from outside, so we had a very good night’s sleep. The breakfast had many choices. Since we stayed during 国庆 holiday, there were quite a lot of guests, so we had to wait around 10–15 minutes when we went down late. But I think this was understandable because the hotel was quite busy. I really enjoyed having the chance to try some local food from Taiyuan, Shanxi, such as 老豆腐, 刀削面, and 担担面. There were also bread, fruit, coffee, salad, Western food, and many Chinese dishes. There was something for everyone. The staff were also very attentive and regularly helped clear the plates. Another thing I really liked was the location. We could walk directly from the hotel into Maoye Mall through the back entrance, which was very convenient. After checking out, we could also leave our luggage at the hotel. Ivy, kindly helped us with this, and I really appreciated her help. I was especially impressed by the Front Office staff, both when we checked in and when we checked out. They were the first people who welcomed us and the last people who said goodbye to us, and they made us feel very welcome throughout our stay. I was very happy to have the chance to give them a small gift(mini bread) as a thank you for taking such good care of us :) Overall, we had a really wonderful and relaxing stay here. Thank you to everyone at the hotel for making us feel so comfortable and welcome. If I have the chance to visit Taiyuan again, I will definitely stay here again. ❤️

Staying at Sanxi Yin Quan was an absolutely fantastic experience! The entire place has an antique charm with a strong Jin-style courtyard vibe. The design is exquisite and clever, perfectly matching the aesthetic of Taiyuan Ancient City. The room was clean and tidy, with thoughtful details that made for a comfortable and peaceful stay. The staff were warm and attentive, providing thorough and detailed service. After exploring the ancient city, it was so therapeutic and relaxing to return and have a quiet night's rest. I highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Taiyuan Ancient City, and I'll definitely choose to stay here again if I have the chance!

Overall, I was satisfied. The lady at the front desk even upgraded my room. The location is excellent, right in the bustling city center. Eating and shopping are right outside the door. The bathroom was very large, but a bit unnecessarily so. The shower pressure on the second floor was a bit low, not great water pressure. It felt like a waste of such a spacious area. Don't open the windows when it's hot, as there are many mosquitoes in the courtyard. The buffet breakfast was also decent.

I chose this hotel specifically for a concert in Taiyuan because of its venue shuttle service. The location is excellent, making it very convenient to get around. The hotel even gifted me a small goodie bag. The staff were incredibly warm and attentive, very efficient, and helped me with recommendations for local food, drinks, and entertainment. The breakfast spread was extensive and very satisfying; the Shanxi knife-cut noodles really energized me. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, definitely worth recommending!

Nice apartment, clean and spacious enough for our family of 4. There’s information stated kitchen and cooking available when I decided to make my booking. However, disappointedly see that the kitchen was only equipped with a microwave, without any other utensils (not even any single bowl and plate) provided at all. When I brought the questions up only being told that additional fees will be charged for the use. Regretfully say that was totally not our purpose of renting an apartment with this condition (furthermore, everything not stated before hand) with no utensils supplied. For the reason and condition not clearly stated I would give my rating of 8.5.
