Family hotels in Turpan

A hidden gem hotel, highly recommended! The location is not far from the scenic area entrance and the county town, especially convenient by car. The desert is right outside the room, less crowded and with beautiful scenery. The owner was very kind and upgraded us to a room with a 180° view. You can climb the sand dunes and go sandboarding. After 8 pm, the desert cools down, and the sunset light and shadow are beautiful, perfect for taking photos. We saw a perfect sunset and orange afterglow from the tent entrance. If you don't want to move around, you can lie in bed, open the tent flap, and leisurely waste a day. The breakfast is delicious, but the dinner, at 100 RMB per person, is just average and not great value, though it looks very nice in photos. By the way, dinner only had naan (a type of steamed bun), no rice, which isn't very friendly to people from the south; I suggest adding a rice option. Overall, satisfied, the kids said they want to come back!

This stay experience is perfect! The moment you open the door, a fresh breath hits you in the face. The marble floor is as smooth as a mirror, the bedding is smooth as new, and even the decorative ornaments in the corners are spotless. Every detail shows the hotel's professionalism and care. The parking lot is well planned and the signs are clear, so you can easily find a space even if it is your first visit. Free parking tickets are also provided when you leave. The biggest surprise was the breakfast session, with a wide variety of Chinese and Western dishes, the freshly cooked noodle soup was fresh and rich, the freshly baked bread was soft and sweet, and the freshly ground coffee was fragrant. You could feel the chef's superb cooking skills in every bite. From the environment to the service, it's impeccable. Next time I come here on a business trip, this hotel will definitely be my best choice!

Our excitement started, from the moment, we met the staff at turpan train station, very gentle, n warm.. Then arriving at the lobby, full of warmth north Wellington smiles, of staff, then the welcome water melon n the melon, helped us release the tensions of train ride,.. Then the comfortable, lodges, ( 2 lodges A frame , very comforting, the breeze n singing birds n 2 big pots of herbal tea with fragrant flowers, n rose,..lots of dried fruits, resin, figs n more,, later on, in evening the refreshing, melon n watermelon, , later in evening free coffee n chocolate cakes,,.. Breakfast, simple n enough for a day of activity, all the items for dinner raglan, n fried vegetables, n kebabs, , one of the best as long as I remember in recent years.. Thanks to the English speaking staff for organizing our trip route n selecting transportation.. Staff thanks for helping me find the best barber for my haircut,, which busy schedules , back home in Japan Warmth n professionalism of staff are much more than our payment .. We had to extend our stay twice,..we already missing the place.. Thank you thank you

The Baoju hotel is located near the middle of town within a short driving distance to the Kumtag desert facilities. The staff were very friendly. Although they could not speak English, they made every good effort to meet all of our needs. The hotel is located in a ***** of small businesses and restaurants. It even is directly attached to a convenience store so you don’t need to leave the building for those small necessities. Our stay was pleasant and restful.

It was so amazing 😝 I just wanted to take photos 📷. Friends and I took a day trip to Turpan and stayed at the Eight Wind Valley B&B in Grape Valley. It was amazing 👍 Special 👍 and unique, a very tasteful B&B with a large courtyard. The overall environment was very comfortable, clean, and the service was warm and attentive. The hotel itself is not bad. However, there were several things that disappointed during my stay. I chose this hotel because previous guest were happy over the English-speaking staff. At the time I was there, there was no English-speaking staff. This was fine. During the first night I find what looks like bugs in the bed, many of them. After some looking it appears that the whole room has them; shower, shelf, bed, etc. It turns out that it was just tiny ants, which seem harmless. It is, however, difficult to get over having ants in the bed. I have videos, but it's not possible to upload. Finally, during my last night, I come home and the code to the gate does not work. This was quickly solved after calling the staff. They said that ”they changed the code today” and ”forgot to tell me”, which seems weird. Regardless: the breakfast is good, and the public areas are very nice. The location is not the best, but it's possible to take a shared ebike to the city in 15 minutes.

The hotel was very spacious, parking was convenient, and the environment was comfortable. The breakfast was plentiful. We traveled with our child, and the 2-meter king-size bed was perfect for our family of three. The hotel also provided brochures for daily tours in Turpan, which we used to plan our trip. However, there was one minor drawback in the room: no separate makeup mirror. This was a bit inconvenient for someone with poor eyesight, as the mirror over the sink was too far away, and leaning forward was difficult due to the sink blocking the way. It would be perfect if there was a small makeup mirror next to the sink mirror. Other than the heat, Turpan was really great, and it was a perfect trip overall.

I am confused how they got so many good reviews after staying here. First, they said offer they tickets to get into Grape Valley and it ended up no tickets are needed. Second, we went out for dinner, restaurants on the right side of the hotel, as the hotel suggested, are 3X more expensive than the normal price. Third, a worker at our hotel offered to drive us to a restaurant but we declined. Later, we found out that he was trying to take us to an overpriced restaurant with no customers. I guess he was looking for a commission from that restaurant. Fourth, we asked one lady in the touristy area, how far is the night market and she said 25 km, we checked on line it was only 7 km away. Even though the room itself was fine, I would advise against staying here or in Grape Valley altogether. Although a visit here for 1 or 2 hours is fine.

Traveling through Gansu and Xinjiang this time, I've noticed that hotels serving breakfast until 11 AM truly show their dedication. The hotel breakfast was excellent, and they have an underground parking garage, which is great for escaping the wind and sand while staying cool. There are many restaurants and BBQ places downstairs. Across the street is an artificial lake, perfect for a morning run. If you head south from there, you'll reach grape trellises where locals sell fresh fruits and vegetables. I bought some 'Xiaobai' apricots, which were incredibly sweet and only eight yuan per kilogram.

The hotel is located in the Cultural and Arts center, which is a free entrance if you're a hotel guest. They have traditional Uyghur music and dance performances throughout the day. The room is nice enough, the WiFi is better than most places we've stayed in. Breakfast was basic, packed and delivered to our room because it's off peak season and the number of guests were low. Overall, it was good for a 1-2 night stay.
