Thanks again to Sister Lian for your sincere hospitality. There were 9 people in our family, including 4 elders and me, who drove from Xi'an to Yulin and booked 5 cave-dwelling double rooms at Sister Lian's house. Unexpectedly, the weather was not good. After arriving at Ganquan, we found that there was a level 7 gale, it was cloudy and rainy, and the temperature dropped to 10 degrees. We suddenly decided to cancel our plan to visit the Grand Canyon that day and drive directly to our next stop, Yan'an. At this time, we had already given up the prepaid deposit (after all, Ctrip indicated that it was non-cancellable, and Lian Jie also sent a WeChat message at noon saying that she had already bought the dishes we had reserved for dinner). Unexpectedly, after learning that we wanted to cancel the reservation, Sister Lian immediately refunded the deposit in full without saying a word; when I was still hesitating whether to receive the refund, Sister Lian called me three times in a row to ”threaten me” that she would continue to harass me until I received the refund. In the end, our whole family decided to stay one night at Sister Lian’s house on the way back to Xi’an. Three days later, on a sunny afternoon, we returned to Ganquan again. When we drove into a slightly barren village and walked into the narrow path leading to her yard, the sanitary conditions and environment of this homestay still made me somewhat uneasy. But when I saw Sister Lian’s brilliant smile and walked into the cave she had carefully prepared, all my worries disappeared in an instant. It is no exaggeration to say that this is the cleanest homestay I have ever seen. The decoration is simple, with two 2-meter beds, clean bedding/bath towels, empty suite, bathroom heater and water heater. What I find most incredible is the marble floor of the B&B. On this loess plateau with flying sand, it can be cleaned spotlessly by Sister Lian (cleaner than the floor of my home in Shanghai). For dinner, we enjoyed 8 dishes and 1 soup specially prepared by Sister Lian according to our taste requirements, plus the big rooster she raised. The whole family was very satisfied with the taste. After dinner, we sat together in Sister Lian’s yard, drinking wine and chatting with Sister Lian about family matters (this night was definitely the happiest night of our trip). The cave was very quiet at night, and we didn’t hear the crowing of the big rooster raised by Sister Lian in the morning (which made us very puzzled). Lian Jie’s family has a total of 6 cave dwellings, one of which is for her own use. It is located in a small village 2 kilometers behind the entrance of Ganquan Grand Canyon Scenic Area. This location is particularly inconspicuous, because most tourists will definitely choose the larger Xia Siwan County 2/3 kilometers before the scenic area or some cave homestays at the entrance of the scenic area. If you want to find a relatively quiet and tidy small homestay and experience the sincerity, simplicity and enthusiasm of the rural people in northern Shaanxi, then Lianjie is definitely your best choice.

The room exceeded my expectations! The linen was pristine white, and both the room and bathroom were spotlessly clean. There was absolutely none of the dust or dampness commonly associated with farm stays, making it feel as safe and comfortable as home. Their vegetables are incredibly fresh, harvested right from the garden. I personally watched the owner picking leafy greens, cucumbers, and tomatoes from their own vegetable patch – they were vibrant green and glistening with dew. Once stir-fried, a delightful aroma filled the air. The texture was delightfully crisp and the flavor refreshing and sweet – a genuine, natural taste you simply can't get in the city. Even the kids couldn't get enough of it! For cleanliness, comfort, and amazing fresh farm-to-table food, you can't go wrong choosing this place! It's especially suitable for families, offering healthy meals and a worry-free stay.

The facilities are complete and well-equipped, allowing for a good rest. It is a very good choice. The breakfast is delicious, the fried rice is fragrant, and the supply is complete. The front desk and other service staff are very friendly and make the journey comfortable.

It's right next to the Ganquan Grand Canyon bus stop, extremely close. The main gate faces the boarding area, and there's a large courtyard for convenient parking. Restaurants aren't very convenient nearby; you'll have to go to town to eat. They do have a restaurant during peak season, but when we went it was off-season, though they still served breakfast. The rooms are spacious, with a charming cave dwelling style, and they even had lots of succulents. The landlady was incredibly welcoming! The next day, after we finished exploring the Grand Canyon, we came back to pick up our car. The sheets and blankets from the previous night had already been washed and dried – very clean!

I traveled with my family during the Chinese New Year, and it was our first time in Yan'an, so we chose this hotel. The value for money was excellent, and the price before the Spring Festival was very reasonable. The room was super spacious, with large, bright floor-to-ceiling windows, and it was clean and tidy. The breakfast was fantastic and delivered right to our room. The location is great, very close to Baota Mountain and also near the Erdaojie morning market!

The environment in the village is generally ordinary rural, but his small courtyard environment and room environment are very good, and it is also an authentic earth cave dug in the mountains, with complete facilities: air conditioning, dehumidifier, fresh air, independent bath dry and wet separation, zero cold water design, intelligent lighting: Calling Xiao Ai students can control the voice, the room is very clean, opposite the Jinyan'an Scenic Area, take the shortcut road for 7 or 8 minutes, the boss can also pick up and drop off for free unlimited times, there are 13 years of Yan'an performances and bonfire parties are free, this is an unexpected surprise, Although the price is the most expensive in their village, it is worth the money. The boss said that he is the first homestay in the village and is the leader of the homestay in the village.

This is my second time here. The room is clean, tidy, and well-arranged. It's equipped with a smart assistant, and they even have a robot for room service. The hotel pays attention to requests and called me beforehand to ask if I needed airport pickup. The front desk staff are gentle and thoughtful. Although the hotel's location is a bit out of the way, Yan'an is a small city. As long as you're not going to the New Area, a 10-minute taxi ride will get you anywhere. Getting to Erdao Street also only takes about ten minutes.

I stayed in room 8806. The bedding was quite clean, and it was my first time experiencing a Northern Shaanxi-style *tuokang* (heated brick bed), which was absolutely fantastic! However, I did discover some hygiene issues: there was mold in multiple corners of the bathroom shower, and the sink's drain pipe was leaking onto the floor. I hope the hotel takes these hygiene concerns seriously. The hotel lacks a laundry room, and given the hot weather, it would be great to have facilities for washing and drying clothes. Breakfast was decent, and the à la carte dishes for lunch were quite tasty. During my four-day, three-night stay, I visited several 'Red Tourism' sites, including Ganquan Grand Canyon and Wave Valley, as well as some century-old restaurants in Yan'an, which was a wonderful experience.

Very satisfactory 3 nights stay at Jinze hotel during our recent visit to Yan’an. Hotel room is clean and spacious, bed is comfortable. Very strategic location at the city centre, walkable to QingLiang Hill and the famous food street. Getting a taxi or DIDI is easy. We enjoyed the breakfast served in the hotel which comes with good variety and mostly local dishes. What impressed me most is the friendly staffs who are always enthusiastic to offer help and travel advice. The hotel in-house restaurants offer delicious food that comes with very reasonable price. Not surprisingly that we had several enjoyable meals at the hotel restaurant. The hotel staff also offered us free souvenirs when we checked out. Appreciate the kind gesture very much 😁. No doubt I would recommend this hotel to anyone who will visit Yan’an.
