🎢🏰What a BRILLIANT time we had. Everything was lovely from the Hotel and Restaurant Team to the Ride dispatcher, it was all a great experience. Staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming. They all had excellent communication skills and were trained well in trained in assisting families with special needs. The hotel room was clean and comfortable and the pillows were perfect Unfortunately it was incredibly noisy. The hotel could do with signs reminding people to be courteous of other guests. Slamming doors and talking loudly and shouting in the hallway after 10pm is not ok. This did carry on until midnight and started again at 6:30am.

Mattress was so hard and uncomfortable in exploxer room, the bunk beds were not made for older children, looks like to standard single beds were put together, not very sturdy for older kids, no head room between the bottom and top bunk, secret garden menu was very minimal and way over priced for the portions,

I stayed at Alton Towers with my wife on Friday 11 April 2025. Check-in was smooth, and we were really impressed with the room — we stayed in the Arabian Nights suite, which was beautifully themed and visually stunning. That said, I do have two minor critiques. Firstly, there’s no air conditioning in the room — just fans. The room gets very hot, and having to rely on noisy fans while trying to watch TV at night wasn’t ideal. The staff throughout the hotel were generally friendly, and the bar area and entertainment were both great — no complaints there. However, the Secret Garden Restaurant was a real letdown and, frankly, not what you’d expect from a resort like this. The food options were minimal, which would be fine if the quality and service matched the price point — but they didn’t. Our waitress came over after about 30 minutes and sighed as if she didn’t want to be there. My starter — supposedly chicken wings — was essentially just bones. We never even received our drinks. The table next to us ended up getting up and collecting theirs from the side because the service was so slow. The restaurant staff seemed very young and clearly hadn’t been trained in basic customer service. I rarely complain, but when you’re paying premium prices, you expect at least decent food and service — this was borderline disgraceful. I would have rated this stay a 5 out of 5, but because the restaurant experience was so poor, I’ve had to give it a 3.

Start with the positives. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was lovely. Lots of selection. Parking was great & entrance to park was ideal. For the negatives. Far too loud. Nobody could sleep until around 11.30pm which is too late for my kids. I thought the entertainment would be opt in or out but there was no option to opt out as it sounded like the singer was giving us a live performance from our room. Woke up covered in bites all over my leg too.

We came for a weekend for our son's 13th birthday and when we turned up we couldn't believe how beautiful the hotel was. It was clean, bright and there was a lovely man at the front helping us with our bags and getting us our keys. Rooms where beautiful too. But that was as good as it got I'm afraid.....We went to the restaurant for tea and the food was horribly over priced and bad quality. I handed them a birthday cake for after our mains for my son and we waited farrrrr to long for it and it ruined the experience. Breakfast was unwelcoming, juices were warm, most breakfast items were cold and tables where dirty. The night time entertainment was good but the wait at the bar was ridiculous. Only 1 staff serving, I was dreading needing another drink. Don't waste all your hard earned money here find someone who will appreciate your custom.

On the plus: Great location if visiting the park. Quirky fun decor. Good variety on the hotel restaurant menu On the not so plus: Dated rooms, overpriced, resultant was ££££ for teeny portions that were like warm. Room not made up when we were advised it was ready. Hotel bar is way too loud, rethought the halls…..and we were on the top floor I really wanted to love it here. What a shame
