I generally don't put negative reviews, this is only the second time that I have ever done so. Let me start by saying that I am providing feedback in comparison to other B&Bs I have stayed in in the past and not multinational hotel chains. I always try to stay local at small businesses, especially post pandemic where they might need the business more than others Start with the good points - Very clean room - Fridge stocked with some milk, water and juice. - Comfortable bed Bad Points - the first one is the "Private" bathroom. I was advised that the bathroom was private to my room, albeit not ensuite. What I didn't realise was this it was down a corridor and opposite the food prep area for people to make their own Breakfasts. -The word "Private" is doing much heavy lifting as when I tried to use the bathroom at 7 am it was in use, I went back at 7.30 and someone else was using it. When they opened the door they said that they were told it was their private bathroom. _ there was no sink in the room so something as simple as washing hands or filling the kettle required a trip. - the breakfast consisted on a packet of cornflakes, a chocolate bun. There was a food prep area by the private bathroom with a toaster but no bread to toast and nothing to spread on it if there were. Normally I expect a cooked breakfast of some sort and have always had it for this type of hotel at this type of price point. A good nights sleep was had, but my inability to be able to take a shower before having to leave in my Private bathroom took any gloss off of the stay. I did try and contact the owner via the doorbell on their room but did not get an answer.
