Hotel Monaco ★★★★
"Great location. Pool was disappointing"
HI Faro – Pousada de Juventude ★★
"Not bad"
Stay Hotel Faro Centro ★★★
"Small room, not really clean. I am staying here for the price."
Faro Boutique Hotel ★★★
"A cozy place"
Roots Hotel ★★★★
"I missed my bus stop in Faro and had to change my plans on the fly, so I ended up not checking in. What a shame, it was a waste of money. I was really looking forward to that top-floor room, I thought I'd get to see the sunset view."
Baixa Terrace Hostel ★★
"The facilities and services are very good."
Golden Beach Guest House & Rooftop Bar ★★★★
"The hotel was small, but it was right on the beach and very clean. The only downside was the breakfast, which was just so-so."
Alameda Exclusive House ★★★
"From start to finish, the service was extremely poor. Upon arrival, the receptionist was rude and appeared to be playing a game while attending to me, which immediately created an unprofessional impression. After I was given access to my room during extremely hot weather, I discovered that the air conditioning was not working. I returned to reception several times to request either a different room or, at the very least, a small fan, as the heat made it impossible to sleep. Unfortunately, my concerns were ignored, and no effective solution was provided. I work as a private chauffeur and was responsible for transporting a lovely family and their dog to the UK. They had paid a significant amount of money for the service, and being well-rested was essential for me to carry out my duties safely. However, due to the unbearable heat and the poor customer service, I was unable to sleep throughout the night. The following morning, I faced a long journey without having had any rest. Although I was exhausted and concerned about the situation, I had to continue the trip because the family needed to arrive in the UK within 48 hours. Overall, my experience at this hotel was deeply disappointing. The lack of professionalism, inadequate customer service, and failure to resolve a serious issue made the hotel unreliable and difficult to recommend."
À da Avó -The Guesthouse ★★★
"All in all average clean level with slightly aged and malfunction facilities. 1. Did not suffer bug bites or itchy feeling but the bed is NOT 10/10 clean, there is dust on bed base/frame. 2. The facilities are slightly aged, room and toilet doors are tricky to close and lock. Technically there are 2 shared bathroom/toilet, but one of the shower room door cannot close while the other bathroom has a broken toilet seat. So you basically only use bathroom A for toilet and B for shower only. 3. Both bathrooms have bad ventilation, so if someone took a smelly sht, then the smell would stay for quite a while. 4. Privacy concerns: the keyhole of the room doors can be see straight through from outside into the room interior. If ladies are to stay here you may risk privacy issues or you have to use something to plug in the keyhole to block vision. 5. Rather convenient location for the price but do expect noisy environment. Good thing is the windows are thick enough to block noises and provided air-con for air ventilation while window closed. 6. Free simple breakfast, basic bread, cornflakes and egg tarts."

Hostel Casa d'Alagoa
"We booked a double room with en suite and breakfast included at £70 pn. The room was tiny with hardly enough room to pass each other and there was no breakfast or anything so you have to go out immediately upon waking. Having said that the room was clean and the bed linen good. The communal areas were decent with a well equipped kitchen and the front receptionists very friendly. Bathroom a bit odd with no hot water in the sink just a tap normally found in a public wc that goes off every 5 secs. If we had paid for a hostel dorm I wouldn’t complain …. But we didn’t."
Cardeal Suites & Apartments
"Excellent facilities. Very clean and Claudia, the manager very help . Her tour information was excellent and restaurant recommendations superb. Will definitely come back if re visit Faro."
Aeromar Beach Hotel
"Great staff and location really enjoyed our stay"
Sao Pedro Suite Faro
Rialgarve
"Lovely quiet hotel on the outskirts of town. I used the Uber every time which was less than E5. From the minute I arrived, the staff were friendly and very patient. The continental breakfast was very fresh and very reasonably priced at e 8. My room was bright , airy and spotlessly clean . I would recommend this lovely hotel if you want a nice quiet relaxing break."
Casa Apollo Guesthouse
"9 women celebrating our 30th "friend anniversary" and we couldn't have picked a better place to stay for our 3-night stay in Faro. Jean-Paul has been an excellent host - he helped us both before and during our stay far beyond what you can expect from a host. Casa Apollo is a pearl - even if it's situated in the centre of Faro it is a quiet gem only a few minutes walk from the main streets. It's a beautiful place with lovely and clean rooms. The breakfast is delicious with everything you can wish for; it's the perfect start to the day. We highly recommend Casa Apollo and will for sure book again whenever we come back to Faro :-)"
Pousada Palácio Estoi, Faro - Small Luxury Hotels of the World
"Very beautiful hotel with an even more beautiful interior, however the rooms, while spacious and comfortable don’t really reflect this. It would be nice if the rooms had a similar look to rest of the hotel. Very good food and even better service. The receptionist was nice enough not to charge me for things I took for the minibar."
Walk in Hostel Faro Airport
"Lovely place close to airport."
Hotel Made Inn Faro
"Booked connecting family room. Loved the simple layout and cleanliness of the room 👍"
Ibis Faro Algarve
"The hotel was very clean, staff very welcoming and allowed us to check in way before time. It’s close to the airport as well as a big shopping centre so everything is in close proximity. The staff cleaned my room every day I was there and we had light and food when the whole Portugal had power outage. Will definitely recommend"
Occidental Faro
"The location is perfect, just a walking distance from the bus station and city center. The room is big enough for 3 people. However, you could tell the staffs didn’t clean the room enough, the bathtub is with hair."
AP Eva Senses
"We love the location of this hotel. The staff are always friendly, the breakfast on the top floor is spectacular as is the view, and the stop has always been very very good."
3HB Faro
"The hotel is located in a pedestrian area, so drivers are advised to find parking nearby, which isn't difficult. The breakfast is decent, and the service is excellent. The rooms are spacious. Since I arrived by bus from Spain, it was convenient. However, the hotel feels more like a business hotel; if you're looking for a resort experience, it might not feel quite right."
Hotel Adelaide
"The hotel is very poor. It is not recommended."
Hotel 3K Faro Aeroporto
"Location is good from Faro airport in Portugal. We walked Hotel by foot in mid night"
Luxury Guest House Opus One
"★☆☆☆☆ – An Absolute Joke of a “Luxury” Guesthouse If you value your money, sanity, and basic respect, do NOT stay at Opus One Guesthouse in Faro. Our experience was so appalling that I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy. First off, the way we were treated when we dared to raise an issue was nothing short of disgusting. A small matter (which wasn’t even our fault) went from calm conversation to the staff turning into the rudest, most disrespectful people I’ve ever encountered in hospitality. Their sudden change in tone was jaw-dropping – one minute friendly, the next minute nasty and condescending. They tried to slap us with hidden charges for the most ridiculous things – tea bags, coffee, and even toothpaste. Yes, toothpaste. As if that wasn’t laughable enough, they attempted to charge us for a bedsheet with a “burn hole” they never once mentioned during our entire stay – only dropping this little surprise on us at the very last minute when we were checking out. The “queen bed” they proudly advertised? Absolute nonsense. It was literally two separate beds shoved together, leaving a lovely gap right down the middle. Comfort? Forget it. The coffee machine in our room was useless, unless you enjoy appliances that don’t work without fuss. And as for the room itself, I guess “luxury” now means holes in the walls from old power sockets that they’ve half-heartedly covered up. This place has the audacity to market itself as a luxury guesthouse, but the reality is an overpriced, poorly managed, run-down property with staff who clearly believe rudeness is part of the décor. Avoid this place at all costs – there are far better places in Faro that actually deserve your money and won’t treat you like an inconvenience."
