The hotel environment is very good, a bit of British country style, clean, casual and comfortable, more worthy of staying on vacation than in the city; the staff is very enthusiastic, in addition to the breakfast provided, you can also order some dishes, enough to enjoy, the taste is a normal Western breakfast,
I personally like this country style the most, the small single-family country villas around, it looks very leisurely, full of holiday style, recommended

Stayed here for one Night 14th February for Valentines Lovely Young Lady on Reception Kirsty Very Welcoming and Friendly .Booked Room 24 Perfect room Large Room With Lovely Bathroom . Meal Booked across At Fence Gate Busy but Good Service and Food . Breakfast was also Good with One Waitress working really hard to make sure all Guests were Happy .Will be returning.

Lovely location in the village of Fence, Lancashire. The setting is beautiful and circa 100 yards from the very welcoming Fence Gate Inn. My partner and I stayed for two nights including breakfast (not the cheapest) but freshly cooked to order with a good buffet selection. The room was clean and modern, large bathroom and the bed one of the comfiest I've slept in. We ate in the Fence Gate in both nights, again a little on the pricey side but lovely food and a great atmosphere. Would definitely recommend.

Another fabulous stay . My husband and I have stayed on the great value for money lazy Sunday stay and dine deal quite a few times now . Even took friends too as it’s so lovely . We have just returned after taking our son and his partner with us this time , and they loved it too . There is nothing you could complain about from a great breakfast freshly cooked to order very good buffet with everything you could wish for cereal and so on it , great staff who make you feel very welcome nothing is any trouble to them , beautiful rooms comfy beds extremely clean (and I’m very fussy) great food at the inn over the road for your evening meal I could go on and on with compliments , Highly recommend it . We are returning soon with our other son , I’m never worried whether they will enjoy it , I know they will THANKYOU to all staff concerned for your high standard it’s much appreciated See you again very soon 😁

Went with partner & his family for one night stay & dine on Sunday. 140 per couple includes dinnr. Stay in the luxury rooms & have dinner at the Fence gate inn across the road. Rooms are to a very good standard & all the amenities you could need. Nespresso coffee machine & some rooms have a roll top bath. Beds in all rooms are huge & very comfortable. Thee is a small bar area in the hotel bit we enjoyed a drink before going for the evening meal at the pub. Breakfast is excellent & al' a' carte, continental breakfast is laid out for you to choose before you order you hot food. Nesspresso coffe machine also on the breakfast room. The fence gate inn is a beautiful county pub with nice dining room & a cozy bar area. We had pub meals, i.e beer battered fish & Chips, steak & ale pie, partner had lamb shoulder. There was Sunday dinners with it being a Sunday There is a 25£ voucher p.p for the stay to spend on the meal at the pub We also had bottle of House red. Would definitely reccomend this hotel to anyone.

New Year’s Eve stay with friends. Very warm reception on arrival in torrential rain. Rooms well appointed with excellent heating, then across the road to The Fence Gate Inn. Meal, service and entertainment again all very good. All in all, a great stay and would recommend

Lodge is excellent, the rooms are lovely with great amenities. Room came with ironing board, coffee machine, TV and really comfortable bed. Bathroom was clean and spacious with twin sinks. Would certainly recommend for an overnight stay especially if eating at the restaurant

Very disappointing experience. I also raised the issues in an email, however, a week on I am yet to receive a reply. Very poor customer service. To begin with, upon arriving in our suite, we found a clump of hair next to the sink in the bathroom. The meal we had was equally disappointing. Throughout the whole process we felt rushed and unattended to. The staff were cold and disengaged. I ordered a main course, which was also listed as a starter option on the menu. When it arrived, I was served six pieces of lukewarm ravioli in a thin, watery liquid. The dish lacked any real sauce or flavour, with the liquid running off the fork almost like water. Lastly, directly outside our room was an extractor fan which was on and off all night. It was extremely loud. Such a disappointing experience - they pride themselves on being a luxury hotel, however, it felt far from it.
