Mengyuan Tuojiang Inn

The moment you open the window, you're greeted with the beautiful Tuojiang River, and the stilt houses are all within sight. It's truly delightful! The room was clean and tidy, the bedding soft and comfortable. Sitting on the balcony, feeling the breeze, and falling asleep to the sound of the water – this trip has been incredibly relaxing!

First off, the service was absolutely on point. They proactively gave us directions for parking, and even though parking in the ancient town during Chinese New Year is a nightmare, they had it all sorted out for us. They even helped us with our luggage without us even asking! The B&B's environment is top-notch – super clean and comes with a balcony right overlooking the Tuojiang River. How relaxing and comfortable is that? Five-star review!

How do I even begin to describe it? It was simply wonderful. The owner is incredibly kind and friendly, always so welcoming. When we first arrived, they met us at Hongqiao with a trolley and helped us with our luggage, and did the same when we left. Saying goodbye to the owner felt like leaving a utopian paradise and re-entering the mundane world. The owner even proactively gave us some local specialties. The room's location is in the absolute heart of the area, truly on a stilt house, with the balcony right over the river. Sitting on the sofa on the balcony at night, sipping tea and listening to the live music from the bars across the way was so relaxing. The lights across the river from the balcony were beautiful, perfect for taking selfies. The bar music usually stops around 11:30 PM. The owner even messaged us to apologize if it was noisy, but I told them I had specifically looked it up online and came to listen to the music! The room facilities are very new, probably recently renovated. The owner's little cat, Mido, is very lazy and unpredictable; sometimes it's docile and lets you pet it, other times it suddenly flashes its claws. The owner offers coffee and ginger tea, and we took a large cup with us when we left. The only downside is that the room is a bit small, but I suppose most stilt houses here are. I highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Fenghuang Ancient Town.

Our stay at this B&B in Fenghuang Ancient Town was absolutely fantastic. The hostess is incredibly warm and friendly; she greeted us with a welcoming smile that instantly brightened our day. She went above and beyond by arranging a driver to pick us up from the high-speed rail station, and even met us at the main road entrance to guide us to the B&B after we arrived in Fenghuang Ancient Town. This was incredibly helpful and saved us any hassle of navigating on our own. During our stay, I had a package delivered nearby that I couldn't locate. The hostess patiently helped me contact the delivery person, proactively communicated with them, and ultimately helped me retrieve my package. I'm truly grateful for her assistance. Overall, the entire stay was wonderful. Not only was it comfortable, but more importantly, we felt a deep sense of genuine hospitality. I wholeheartedly recommend this B&B; I'll definitely be staying here again on my next visit to Fenghuang Ancient Town!
