Stayed in the Yanxia Yunran Private Soup River View Suite for two nights and waking up to the beautiful river and ancient rooftops felt like stepping into a dream (photo with our view is attached). The suite was spotless, cozy, and had a charming traditional aesthetic with modern comforts (that huge stone bathtub with a view was perfection).
The owner didn’t just host us, he gave us the trip of a lifetime.
We arrived late in the evening and took advantage of the amazing location to explore some of the town before heading back to our room. Which then, the owner welcomed us with tea and sesame seed dumplings.
He went above and beyond on our second day. He helped us bargain for new luggage, acted as our complimentary translator/guide, booked us tickets to an unforgettable local show, and even found the best spot for Miao ethnic clothing photoshoots. We ended the night with him treating us to local BBQ and drinks, sharing stories, and teaching each other about our cultures.
This isn’t just a B&B, it’s a cultural immersion with a host who treats you like old friends. If you’re going to Fenghuang, book here. No question. We’re already planning our return!
The service was beyond excellent. I would rate 5 stars but the room was a smoking room and we traveled with a child. It's not a big deal, I would still recommend this place, the service more than makes up for it
The experience at this hotel was absolutely fantastic!
Let's start with the environment. The room design is incredibly stylish, spacious, and comfortable, with excellent natural light. You get breathtaking views as soon as you open the curtains. The hotel's overall decor has a distinct charm; you can truly feel the thought and effort put into both the public areas and the rooms, making them incredibly photogenic. The night views around the hotel are also stunning, creating a perfect ambiance.
Moving on to the service, it was exceptionally thoughtful and attentive from check-in right through to check-out. The dining was equally impressive; whether it was afternoon tea or other meals, everything was beautifully presented and delicious. The wide variety of options caters to all tastes. Staying here was incredibly relaxing, making for an absolutely superb overall experience.
From the moment I arrived, I felt genuinely welcomed. The host went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, offering thoughtful touches that made my our unforgettable. The hotel itself is spotless, beautifully maintained, and exudes a warm, inviting charm that immediately puts you at ease.
What truly sets this place apart, though, is the host’s incredible kindness and attention to detail. Whether it was offering local recommendations, checking in to see if I needed anything, or just greeting me with a warm smile each day, their hospitality was truly top-notch. You can tell they genuinely care about their guests and love what they do.
Highly recommended! The hotel's dedicated butler service proactively contacts guests a day beforehand, offering complimentary shuttle service from the high-speed rail station. Since cars are prohibited within the ancient town, the butler thoughtfully arranges for staff with a traditional wooden cart to transport your luggage upon arrival. The hotel boasts a superb location, making it incredibly convenient for exploring; it's nestled perfectly between the ancient town's Snow Bridge and Stone Slab Bridge. This prime spot allows you to capture iconic photos away from peak crowds and also offers fantastic photo opportunities right from your balcony. The hotel's design is beautifully antique yet grand, making it exceptionally photogenic. It's an absolute must-stay for families traveling with children or elderly members. Seniors can easily retreat to the hotel for a rest when tired, and if kids get their clothes wet playing by the river, you can conveniently return to the hotel to change and wash them, as a washing machine and dryer are readily provided. The service is simply unparalleled. I'll be wholeheartedly recommending this hotel to any friends or family planning a trip to Fenghuang Ancient Town.
The homestay’s environment and rooms are beautiful and clean, and the rooms were very spacious. Staff were helpful, and the boss gave suggestions on where we can go to sightsee and eat. Location was close enough to the main attractions. The beds are also spacious and comfortable, and it was quiet at night so we had a good night’s rest. Simple breakfast was provided in the morning. Would stay again if I come to Feng huang again!
It was a long-awaited trip to Chang'an (Xi'an), and the night views were absolutely stunning! The host at the B&B was incredibly kind. He offered a complimentary pick-up from the station and even helped us carry our bags up to our room (no elevator, so huge thanks to him for the effort!). When we checked out, he even gave us a small farewell gift. The service was truly exceptional and thoughtful.
