The Parador de Ferrol is super! It has a nautical theme, in keeping with its view out onto the arsenal and harbor. It's very comfortable and well maintained, and our room, although not large, was very well set up and had a little balcony facing the harbor. The staff was friendly and helpful, setting us up with a kettle in the room, and keeping something in the fridge for us on our day of departure. We didn't have breakfast so I can't comment, but lunch in the restaurant was excellent. The only downside is the cafeteria, which whike pretty and comfortable, could use a better menu. It would also be more convenient if food (at least sandwiches and salads) could be obtained outside the restaurant hours.

The Parador was by far the most beautiful hotel and best breakfast of our Camino; what a way to start our personal journey! Steeped in the old world charm with marble and wood; spacious rooms (bed-, bath-, and living-) and the attentive dining-service staff kept the buffet well-stocked and clean, and still made time to take our orders for eggs.

The Parador de Ferrol is a great place to stay when starting the English Way of St. James. It is conveniently located within minutes of the official starting point and also close to the center of town. The rooms are comfortable and beautifully decorated. Breakfast is outstanding with choices for even the picky eaters... a great start to the Camino.

The Parador - Ferrol is a great palce to stay in the city. I remember it well as my home for three months back in 1982 during my first working visit to Spain. Many great memories and a thoughly enjoyable stay. I always try to stay at Paradores as they are always well run and friendly. Thank you!

We came to the Parador to have lunch the Hotel was full so we did not visit the rooms. The lunch was very good served in a very nice dining room, service was impecable and food was very good. If I will return to El Ferrol the hotel is a very good option for a stay.

This was the first night of my Camino de Santiago walk. It was an old world hotel. Somewhat dated, but all together nice. I don't think there are many options in Ferrol, and this was the best hotel in the city. If I came to Ferrol again, I'd definitely stay again.

The Ferrol Parador is a great place to stay. The staff provides excellent service and the rooms had great views of the waterfront. The overall value of the stay was great.

Very nice hotel, with a strong sense of history, and ideal before starting the Camino Ingles. Our room faced the sea and the naval museum. Comfortable beds and adequate air conditioning. Ferrol is a lovely town to explore and the Parador was a great base.
