I don’t like writing negative reviews, but things have changed since we stayed three years ago and there are things that you should know. On our previous visit we enjoyed an excellent pitchet of wine from the bar sitting outside overlooking the coast, and followed this with a delightful meal in the restaurant. Now there is no bar and no restaurant. This means that you either have to visit the shops in Guines as we did, or find a restaurant, which would limit any wine consumption. The situation of The Ferme de Grand Air is wonderful, and the security of cars in the enclosed courtyard is excellent. Our room had a large comfortable bed, though only one bedside light functioned. The shower head was almost unusable, though the water was warm, but the towels were so wet that they were unusable. The young lady who was so helpful on our arrival had disappeared so we used our own. Breakfast is available from 8am, not 7 as mentioned in the website, but you can use the kitchen to make coffee at any time. There are no facilities in your room, nor is there a coffee shop. There may be rooms with baths, but we haven’t seen one. As you can imagine we were very disappointed, as we had such an enjoyable experience previously. Alas no more.
