Baymont by Wyndham Findlay

Good place, good service.

Very old facilities. In my opinion not up to the Baymont standards. There was basically no sitting area for breakfast. There were 3 stools at a 5 foot counter. 3 levels no elevator. There is a ramp down to the first level. Definitely not worth the money they're asking. Had i known the condition of the hotel, I would have chosen a different hotel!

Tub filled up with water when showering. Was not the cleanest. Tried charging me a $50 deposit for any damages that would happen in our stay. Never heard of that.

The room was clean, the hotel itself is kinda old. But for the price it was good. I would stay again, we could stay at least 2 nights, versus 1 night somewhere else.

The room itself was small. The pictures made it look a lot bigger than it was. The iron was hung on the wall next to one bed and there was no closet, it was literally a shelf over the minifridge. It was very clean though. However, it did have a bad smell to it from the AC unit and the shower did not spray properly. The worker when we first arrived was rude and condescending. The worker when we left was very sweet and had a smile on her face. In the pictures they make the breakfast bar look spacious and nice. While it was nice, it was VERY small. No more than 2-3 people could fit into the area to get anything at a time. There were also only two stools up against a bar for anywhere to sit while eating breakfast. So, you had no choice but to stand or take it back to your room if the stools were already taken.

I was a little uneasy about the location at first, but it was an okay place to stay passing through for a quick overnight to my final destination. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable which are the two most important things to me. There was a couple of minor issues with the tv remote and the bathroom sink, but the front desk was very helpful in getting them resolved right away. Considering it was a short stay, that didn’t bother me so much. I doubt I would stay again, but it served its purpose at the time.

The inside was renovated and spotless, but the outside was in disrepair and needed attention.

My only complaint is that I reserved a room with 2 queen beds and at check in, a room with a single king bed was the only thing available. What is the point of a reservation if they are not going to hold it for you.
