Antica Dimora Sant'Anna

This guesthouse, run by nuns, is a 10-minute walk from the train station and surrounded by two supermarkets. There are also many restaurants on the way to the main attractions, including Chinese eateries. A shared kitchen with a fridge and microwave is available on one of the floors, so not having breakfast included wasn't an issue. The courtyard is beautifully maintained, featuring cypress, loquat, and olive trees. The calla lilies in the room were also grown by the nuns. The room itself is simple and basic, with a balcony. The hairdryer outlet in the bathroom is oddly placed above the mirror, making it hard to spot. There were already mosquitoes in May, so it's best to buy a repellent from the supermarket. The guesthouse entrance is secure; remember to close the door behind you. It's quiet and safe both inside and out, but I noticed suspicious individuals loitering nearby late at night, so it's advisable not to return after 10 PM.

The value for money here is excellent. The nuns were incredibly kind and welcoming. The place itself was very clean and tidy, with beautiful trees in the garden.

The location is great, and the room was very clean. My only complaints are the short check-out time and having to ring the doorbell to enter. The front desk staff were very friendly, and the candies were delicious. It's also very close to the city center.

I was a bit worried about what it would be like to stay at a hotel run by nuns, but after staying there myself, I found it very comfortable and pleasant. I slept well too. The nun who greeted us at the front desk was from Vietnam and was very kind. However, breakfast was 8 euros and only consisted of a croissant, ham, and coffee, so I ate breakfast outside the hotel instead.

A typical monastery hotel, exceptionally safe, clean, and tidy, which gave us peace of mind.
