Clean and prepared staff, available, staffed in the beautiful and gentle cleaning, clean hostel, do whatever you can. As a hostel, the quality of the bathrooms is not adequate, the bathroom is a chemical toilet and in the room the presence of many ants that make sleep impossible.

Please read fully before deciding. IF YOU WISH TO USE THE PRIVATE PARKING SPOT, THEN I RECOMMEND THAT YOU ARRANGE THIS BEFORE HAND. THEY ONLY HAVE 10 SPOTS ! PARKING ANYWHERE ELSE WILL BE A NIGHTMARE! This hotel is very close to the city center. A nice stroll away. On an extremely busy main road. The plus side of it is that it is in a very safe location. Downside is that if you happen to have a room overlooking the road.... Be prepared for noises all night. You will hear cars almost all night through. The staff are very very friendly and helpful. The rooms and hotel itself has been forgotten by time and its owners. Welcome to the 80's Rooms are small and not really up kept. Super thin walls. Our door must have been broken into at some time. The wood around the lock was chipped and broken into. Toilet seat was broken. Charging points were coming off the wall. Refrigerator added to the noise all night. Room service are so clumsy and noisy its unbelievable. The make sure to make a racket while cleaning the rooms near by. Clash their trolleys, drop things. All around 7 am. Cant say I am impressed. Breakfast room is tidy with friendly welcoming staff, but again something from the 80's. Selection of food is less than mediocre. Wouldn't even call it a selection. If its for a short inexpensive break then its totally fine to stay at. Otherwise look elsewhere.

I think that based on the variability of the posted reviews, the experience is likely highly dependent on which room the visitor receives. I was in the attic loft, room 111, and could not have been happier. A spacious, modern room, the air conditioning was excellent (which was very important given this year's heat waves). Very quiet. No fridge, but that wasn't a big deal. Checking in was a bit goofy. I arrived at noon and the front door was locked and no one was at the front desk. I managed to get in and was confronted by a cleaning lady who chastised me for coming before check-in time. I indicated that I did not care to check in and was happy to dump my bags and head out to Florence. All good. But someone with different expectations would be miffed. Breakfast is modest but perfectly adequate...much better than what one gets at a budget motel in the States. Again, expectations. If you expect a large, hot breakfast buffet, you need to check into a much more expensive property.

We come every year, for good reason. For our family it works as each room is at minimum a small suite. The people who work here are the friendliest and most accommodating of any hotel I stay at. The AC was great this year as it was slightly hotter than normal in July. The pool is amazing especially as the temperature was high, providing for a great escape after going downtown. The restaurant and wait staff are amazing! Highly recommend for anyone who does not want to sleep downtown but visit during the day.

Prenotiamo un appartamento per un weekend. Arriviamo verso le 18, c'è un signore che ci da le indicazioni per il parcheggio interno, le chiavi dell'appartamento (senza farcelo vedere), ci dice che non ci sono bici disponibili per il noleggio (non ci saranno mai). Paghiamo la stanza in anticipo (errore che non faremo mai più). Parcheggiamo e saliamo (da soli) in appartamento al 4° (e ultimo) piano. L'appartamento è luminoso, su due livelli. Le camere da letto sono al secondo livello, nel sottotetto, che può essere fastidioso per le persone mediamente alte. In generale l'appartamento è abbastanza pulito e nuovo. Usciamo per cena e torniamo per le 23. Per il centro ci vogliono tra i 20 e i 25 minuti a piedi, per noi fattibile. Saliti in appartamento ci accorgiamo di un rumore continuo veramente forte, come di un condotto di aspirazione. I rumori della strada non vengono assolutamente filtrati, le voci e gli schiamazzi degli avventori di un locale ubicato nello stesso palazzo della struttura, arrivano chiari e distinti, in più c'è la caserma dei pompieri di fronte (a cui purtroppo arrivano due chiamate durante la notte). A tutto ciò si aggiunge che il locale ascensore è esattamente sopra la camera da letto, per cui agli altri rumori si aggiungono anche quelli dell'ascensore. Chiamiamo la reception con poche speranze dato che sappiamo che il servizio c'è fino alle 19 e sono già le 23.30. Di conseguenza, chiamiamo due numeri di cellulare che sono riportati sulla porta della reception e nell'ascensore: sono numeri da chiamare in caso di emergenza. Non riceviamo nessuna risposta. Intorno all'1 di notte smette il rumore forte e consistente e smettono anche gli schiamazzi del locale in strada. Riusciamo finalmente a dormire. L'indomani mattina attendiamo fino alle 10.30 che qualcuno sia presente in reception, ma non arriva nessuno. Chiamiamo di nuovo i due numeri cellulari di emergenza e ad uno dei due risponde una ragazza. Le condividiamo la problematica dovuta ai rumori e dice che aggiornerà il collega dato che lei non è in turno. Nel frattempo dalla strada, arriva il collega (è la stessa persona che ci ha consegnato l'appartamento il giorno prima). Dice che farà subito le verifiche nel vano ascensore, quando specifichiamo che il problema non ci sembra legato all'utilizzo dell'ascensore piuttosto ad un altro tipo di impianto, come di aspirazione. Stiamo in giro per Firenze l'intera giornata e torniamo verso le 23.30. La situazione è esattamente come il giorno prima. Rumore forte e consistente nelle camere da letto, schiamazzi in strada. Lo comunichiamo di nuovo al numero di emergenza a cui risponde la ragazza (all'altro non ha mai risposto nessuno) che ci chiede anche dei video via whatsapp dei rumori. Si dice mortificata per il ”mistero” ma che non può fare nulla. Il rumore forte e consistente cessa intorno all'1 di notte, quando anche il locale sottostante chiude. La mattina dopo facciamo il checkout. Non ci viene riferita una parola sull'accaduto

Initially we found Palazzo San Lorenzo a little off the beaten track and that the residential nature of the neighborhood meant there were few adjacent restaurants however as our time in Florence evolved we found the peaceful and calm atmosphere a welcome respite from the crowds and intensely busy atmosphere of central Florence. Everyone was very gracious, the spaces were very tasteful and relaxing, the garden a delight and breakfast was delicious. The service was attentive and accommodating. I highly recommend Palazzo Scan Lorenzo but be prepared for the added expense of taxis to and from central Florence. ( around 10 Euro each way ).

Super nice hotel. We stayed in a classic room which was a bit small but tastefully decorated. Small kettle in the room with several tea options was a nice touch. The room window has a wooden door that when closing it, it totally blocks the light from outside. I loved it! The view from our room was of green hills and a small field of olive trees. So beautiful and so peaceful! The room, the bathroom and the all hotel area were spotless clean. I have stayed in hotels were sometimes the room is a bit dusty or the bathroom’s utensils are with spots, but in Villa Neroli it was totally the opposite, their cleaning standard were higher than usual. My only advice for improvement for the hotel is to fill the room with more bathroom supplies like body lotion, shower cap and soft tissue. There weren’t any of them and I needed to go to reception and ask for supply. Breakfast- really liked everything that was offered. All products were fresh and of high quality. The bread, the coffee, the amazing fruit salad, the yogurts and everything else were very good. There was even a corner with carrots, pineapple and ginger to prepare fresh juice and a self service pancake machine. Location- the hotel isn’t located in the center of Florence but it is about a 10-15 minutes drive from the center. Since I came with my car it was perfect for me. The hotel has an outdoor free parking, which was extremely convenient . The neighborhood o the hotel is a residential one. It doesn’t have the lively atmosphere of Florence center, but I didn’t mind about it and suited me perfectly. Last but no least I want to note highly the lovely staff of the reception. What a team! Always polite, helpful and genuinely nice. I liked them a lot. Thank you for making my stay a pleasant and memorable.

I stayed here to attend a technical conference at the nearby university (within walking distance). I received a very good price 140 euros/night for 7 nights. My room (top floor) didn't have a big huge bathroom, a big huge desk, an in-room safe, a clock, or a BIG HUGE PRICE! The supplied liquid soap is in little packets which I found hard to open (arthritis) -- had I known, I'd have brought a bar of soap. It did have a small effective refrigerator and an air-conditioner. So why is this rating 5 instead of 3 (very basic hotel)? Very quiet except that the hotel is on a road to a nearby hospital (you may hear ambulances). The friendliness, courtesy, and helpfulness of all personnel (who speak fluent English)! The phone system for wake-up calls was on the fritz, so the night manager came upstairs to rap on my door 3am departure day to roust me, and made sure of a taxicab to FLR. The included breakfast is rolls, cereal, beverages, cheese, ham, and soft-boiled eggs. During normal hours, take tram T2 from FLR to central station, transfer tram T1 to Poggetto, cross tram tracks and walk 0.5 km to hotel (”HOTEL” in block letters sticks out from building). To reach sights of city, take T1 from Pisacane (twin stop to Poggetto, about 200m farther west through a ”tunnel,” to Valfonda and walk. Internet computer is in little room off lobby. Once when it wasn't working, hotelier apologized and gave me a Coke Zero for free out of the little beverage cooler in the lobby. There is an elevator.
