"A great find. Perfectly located close enough to the station on a beautiful street. Close to the town centre too. Martina was a very good friendly receptionist who greeted us with a smile and a warm welcome. As early as we were she was able to find us a room. Great sized room, great bathroom, great breakfast. Would definitely recommend to stay here and base yourself for day trips to the great towns just a short train ride away including Perugia and Assisi. Definitely stay there. Will definitely be back."

"UNA hotel Villa dei Platani, housed in a nicely renovated Art Deco villa, is located very close to Foligno's train station but in a very quiet street and the city centre is about 10' walk. The room we were given was nice and clean but unfortunately on the ground floor, never a great option! Moreover, the TV didn't work properly and the A/C needs to be switched on/off from reception, which seems absurd. However, the staff was extremely kind and when we had some problem they solved it brilliantly. Breakfast is good enough."

"We didn't read the address... middle of an industrial park outside Foligno. HOWEVER - plenty of parking, modern (10 years old), pristinely clean, Reception helpful/spoke Eng. A huge complex with most sports catered for, a well-equipped gym, a water slide, several pools including a large one. We imagined it would be the kind of place Italian families might go on Summer vacation = Self-contained, safe, monitored - 'little people' unlikely to escape and lots to keep them amused. As a base just outside the City it worked well for a 1 night stay enroute to other Umbrian towns. We chose to eat in their restaurant after a long-ish drive: can only say it excelled any expectation (we retired to Italy many years ago). Food was amazing and worthy of a very high=class restaurant; we were the only 'foreigners' - rest were Italian. Everything was delicious with some unusual/different 'dishes', excellent wine list - Sagrantino region so reds are superb. "
