It's right in the middle of the village. I pay for a single room with tolet, sink and was upgraded to a double room with tolet, sink and shower Rooms are a good size and grate value for money

No food was being served, despite the pamphlets showing the lovely meals you could (used to be able to) get; the owner said he had not been able to get staff for (I think) a year !!! I did get to check in early, but was told the room had been prepared (I waited an hour at a bar having a beer - no-one else there, no lights on); The carpets had not been dealt with at all and there were bits of tissue and other 'stuff' all over (I wish I had kept my shoes on !!!) I only discovered the shower didn't work (NO water through that tap) late in the day when I wanted to use it, giving up the idea and settling for use of the sink, whose tap DID work. They really shouldn't take guests if that's what to expect !

Very sad place. Fabio is unable to run the family business that his parents founded. Forest Row is a lovely community. So disappointing....

I made allowance for the fact that the property was family owned , not a chain. The father had retired through ill health and the son was taking over. The refurbishment was a work in progress. The price was good value. The son was friendly and helpful. The building had character. I slept well on a comfortable clean bed with good quality clean linen . I will return.

1st room offered, TV not working, no on suite facilties, bare boards on floor. Paint on ceilling flaking off. 2nd room, just a bed, no side lights, no facilities, no tv. Plaster on one wall not tnere revealing bare concrete. Bare floor boards with very uneven floors. Very dusty. Shared shower room had just cold water. Floor of the bathroom had floor tiles missing. This was in the OLD part of the building. The 2 rooms appear to be converted attic space. FOR £60 A night, this is far from ideal in this day and age.

It was a nice place to stay if you’re attending an event. However, the beds were quite squeaky and wobbly. Also, the check-out door was locked, which made it difficult to return the key normally; a key box would be a good idea. Overall, it was relatively quiet, and I appreciated the back entrance for after-hours access.

This quaint, Grade 2 Listed building housing the bar and reception desk has excellent, family staff. The guest rooms are modern in design, clean & spacious. My son and I enjoyed looking around the village and ate at one of the various resturaunt's located nearby. Nice and quiet overnight, We left this morning to drop off my son at Gatwick Airport (30 minutes drive) avoiding the risk of him missing his flight. (We would have had to use the M25 if we drove from our home)
