Forrest Hotel and Apartments is located very close to Parliament House and the parliamentary triangle, so it's a great base for sightseeing in Canberra.
It is a few blocks from the Manuka shopping centre, with a variety of cafes and restaurants, open early to late.

A very quiet, clean and well run hotel. Very close to Parliament House and a 15 minute bus ride from Canberra CBD (No. 59). There is a local shopping centre with lots of restaurants, cafes and a Coles supermarket only 10 minutes walk away. Plenty of off street parking if you have a car. The room smelled, the bathroom smelled like curry. The room is not very welcoming. There were cockroaches.
You don't feel like staying in the room for the night.
