Popular Forster 4-star Hotels

We stayed in 4 hotels while we were on our holiday including a Meriton in Sydney but Hotel Forster was by far my favourite stay! The room was so spacious, the spa bath was amazing and the room had such a cosy feel to it! The grounds were beautiful, the hosts were so friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that we only stayed one night! Already planning to come back again and stay for longer! Highly recommend Hotel Forster to anyone looking for a home away from home at a very reasonable price!

I was travelling solo earlier this month and needed to book in somewhere in Forster at the last minute for a few days. After scouring around town, I decided on the Island Palms. I am so glad I did. Gael's friendly greeting immediately made me feel at home. My room (7) was super clean, nicely renovated, well maintained and the bed was sooooooo comfy. Parking was a breeze and I had a lovely little porch to enjoy the outdoors when not out exploring all the cool places that Gael kindly recommended. Everything about my stay was perfect and it didn't break the bank. Thanks heaps to Gael and her team! If I was to make one suggestion for the hosts...it would be to update the vanity benchtop in the bathroom just to finish off the modern look and feel. Certainly didn't impact on my stay though.

Booked a 3 night stay in a 2 bed apartment on Level 9 (beach facing) PROS: - Easy booking and check-in process - Convenient and secure parking underneath the building - Apartment stocked with most creature comforts from home and the kitchen is fully equipped - Free Wi-Fi - Very easy access to the beach and shops by foot - Snacks for sale in the community room and access to DVDs and books - Comfy beds with several pillow options - Laundry facilities within apartment were great - Modern, fresh décor with apartment clean and tidy on arrival - Spacious balcony, big outdoor table and lots of seating CONS: - Use of cool white light bulbs in apartment was awful and they were too bright. Made the unit feel cold and stark. - Pool is not heated, was too cold to dip a toe in. Don’t think the spa works as water is same temp as the pool. - Morning light comes in through the bedroom blinds, curtains would be nice - Very noisy at night with the traffic below. Have to close sliding doors and windows to watch TV. - Guests are charged for pool towels - Lack of privacy at night with guests in hotels across the road able to see into your apartment

The management of this park could not give a care about other people or there children . This wy the management hired out the camp kitchen to a dog group from Saturday till Sunday so thay could have dogs in the kitchen and we the campers where tolled to get out as thay have hired it so no one else could use it I made a complaint to management and thay agreed its wrong and should not be allowed to have dogs in the kitchen that rule apply s to every other camper we where also tolled that David and his wife don't care as thay say the camp kitchen it not there for our convenience and we only pay for a site and he can shut and hire it out when ever he likes what an attitude iam also talking with the owners of the discovery parks and thay feel it is unacceptable behaviour from management the camp kitchen is ther for all campers to use and thay have no right to ban others because of there don't care attitude very disappointed and will not return will the management is still there even the water park for children he shuts that on Sundays so he can bring back his soccer team and have a barbecue and drinks in there but no one else can do the same again selfish and inconsiderate to the people paying to go there head office in south Australia will be looking at the comments I have made and will won't a response from the inconsiderate management of foster discovery park

Smugglers Cove Holiday Village is situated in Forster 32km from Taree and 4 hours from Sydney. Free Private parking available on-site. All cabins are self-contained and have a TV and DVD player. There is also a kitchenette, fitted with a microwave, toaster and fridge. Smugglers Cove Holiday Village has three pool areas, 2 playgrounds, games, TV room, camp kitchens, BBQ areas, free WiFi hotspots and a seasonal restaurant. On-site leisure activities include minigolf, canoe hire, and fishing. There is also a massage room and hair salon, arranged by prior appointment. Not all cabins are Pet friendly please check when booking your cabin that you are booking a pet friendly or non pet friendly cabin.

Overall good, the bar on the first floor will be more lively at night, and it will be quieter around 11 o'clock

There is no breakfast, a small bed and a 1.5-meter bed, which is very suitable for families with dolls. The car is parked in the yard and there is a small swimming pool. It is very convenient. I walked nearby for more than 10 minutes to find a Chinese restaurant.

We stayed one night on our way to Coffs harbour. The staff were friendly and the room was clean. The only negative for me was the flight of stairs up to the room which were quite steep. This was my own fault though as I did not ask for a ground floor room.

Great comfy room and although we are a couple there was plenty of space for three. Our room had a comfy L shape couch which is always a bonus. The bed is only a double and although comfy was just a little soft for our liking. Spotlessly clean and in a great location. There is a guest laundry with a washer and dryer. The owner was extremely helpful and very friendly. Would definitely recommend

Friendly and helpful staff, clean room and property (nice cold aircon for summer), and very close to town and the beach - easy walk. Didn’t hear a single sound outside even though the property is on a main road, and near a servo (we used the servo a couple of times as a convenience store). Great value stay, especially considering it was a public holiday long weekend.
