The Lighthouse Resort Inn & Suites

We had a great stay at the Lighthouse Resort in Fort Myers Beach. The location was excellent—just a short walk to the beach, restaurants, and everything we wanted to do. The pool was definitely our kids’ favorite part of the trip, and they spent hours enjoying it. A special shout-out to the bartender at the pool, who was incredibly friendly and made us feel welcome throughout our stay. The rooms could definitely use some updating, but honestly, we didn’t come to Fort Myers Beach to sit in the room. We were there to enjoy the beach, the pool, and the beautiful location, and the resort delivered on all of those. We’d happily stay here again.

Good hotel by the beach and very pets friendly, Very convenient in hotels have Tiki bar and restaurants pool a lot of parking very happy gonna book again 🥰

We were not aware that the elevator didn’t work and our room was on the 3rd floor. Climbing 3 flights of stairs with luggage is not easy. Not to mention that you have to take your ice bucket down to the bar for ice and then climb back up to take to your room. The room did not have any facial tissues and even though the unit had a kitchenette there was not towel to dry dishes with. It would have been nice to know at the time of booking or checking that work was being done on the thatched roof that covered the big bar because they started working 8 a.m! This location is close to Times Square but the condition of the place needs to be addressed and not just making the bar bigger or more party friendly.

When i made the reservation I asked if they had elevators the answer was yes. When I got there everything was really messed up as far as the condition of the property. It had no vending machines that worked and didn’t seem to care. No breakfast served. the room had excavators working outside the window and patio areas. Very loud and dusty. The floor in the room was dirty. After i walked on it once my feet were dirty.  This is not what i expected at all for what the rates were. I asked for a refund and to leave but they wouldn’t give my money back. They sent me an email days later saying it would be refunded but as of over a week later no ready.

When we arrived there was some drunk woman being arrested outside. Killed four (4) roaches in the room. Mold on bathroom tiles. Bed sank in the middle and messed up my wife's back. They wouldn't give us clean towels until we went downstairs to the main office and turned in the dirty towels. There was also no elevator. At 3am crazy drunk lady was banging on the door next door to us because they wouldn't let her inside her room. All the screaming and fighting woke up my kids. Place was full of locals that live near by using the amenities and getting very intoxicated. Certainly not a place for families with teens or below.

This hotel is in the perfect location, just steps from the beach, restaurants, Times Square and Margaritaville. The new resort pool is lovely, the food is great and the Tiki Bar is lively. It's definitely the place to be so come ready to party.

This Hotel is in a prime location however this is its downfall . Anyone I mean anyone from the street can come and and use their pools and mingle with paying guests . When the front desk was questioned their answer was that some folks can pay a daily resort fee and use amenities . This was not the case . There is a bar and restaurant on property that is open to the public . This means anyone that attends the bar has open access to their pools and the rooms . I found it unsafe and negligent . I understand this area is bouncing back from one of the worst natural disasters ever but it’s not family friendly. No disclosures either to advise that their elevators are non working . It still has a long way to go . There are so other many other places for the same price and I offer much more security .

The first room offered to us had such a strong mildew smell, I couldn’t even breathe. The flooring was missing pieces and overall just look very rundown. We were offered a second room, looked a little nicer but had a very strong smell of mildew and cleaning chemicals. The vent was so dirty, it was absolutely disgusting! We were offered a third room, right next to the bar where people were smoking and had very loud music! The lady at the office was very pleasant and very helpful! She was able to cancel the reservation so we could get our money back.
