I have been loyal to that hotel 3 times in a row. But my last experience, during the pandemie was HORRIBLE. A CUT OF AC FOR 3 1/2 HOURS, WITHOUT WARNING, TO SAVE MONEY BECAUSE NOT ENOUGH PEOPLE. Nobody told me this; I asked why, I got reasons all as fanciful as each other!THE TRUTH, BEFORE LEAVING. If you can t afford to look like a 5 stars hotel, don t pretend it with the rate! The cherry on the cake was a morning, because everything was so old-in terms of food, to find some eggs of cockroach eggs in corn flakes- i do have substantial proofs, pixs, videos, & more.... The owner Fernando had the audacity to talk to me nicely about the situation-not to eat french fires in order to have clients satisfied- EXCUSE ME, it's normal! it's not a favor(maybe Brasil, not anywhere else, travel Dear!) I paid, and got expulsed, because too demanding????- in a middle of a pandemic!!, to satisfy the little ego and unprofessionalism of that owner who makes you think he is rich-quite the opposite!.... (He didn t speak english well, -not his fault, but that s ok.) His action was almost criminal. To expel people in the middle of a pandemic in a dirty, unprofessional way, who pay a 5 star (but in fact, it is only 1 and a half star) and who have asked for explanations.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The staff were all amazing, all of them were happy to go the extra mile for you whatever the request, in perfect English no less. The facilities were great, although the pool area could get a little crowded on busier days. The rooms were very spacious, the air conditioning was extremely good, although the decor was a little dated. Room service food wasn't great but when is it ever? A great location, right across the road from what felt like one of the safer areas on the beachfront.

Not a very good hotel. The bed was terrible, the check-in took forever, the corridors do not have an elevator button to go up so if you want to go to the roof top, where the pool is located you must get inside the lift and hope that it is going up before it goes down. The towels were in bad conditions. One night we were tired and decided to eat in the hotel restaurant, a mistake. We ordered hamburgers. The bread and the meat pads were disintegrating, falling apart, it had no taste and was also over cooked. One the good side the breakfast was nice. There was a senior gentleman, that seamed to be in charge who was very nice to everyone and looking after details. Also, the front desk agent during check-out was very nice too. She offered to look after our bags and called the restaurant to make sure they would let us in since it was a little before opening time and we were leaving very early.

We paid a great price for the July holidays. The hotel's initial service, horrible. The person who attended us (which was without name and with normal clothes, probably a superior) seemed to do us a favor. The bad service. The room, ok. Nothing else. Old bathroom. Hotel probably has been very glamourous in the past, today is decadent. The view is wonderful. Great swimming pool good breakfast too. Common staff are spectacular. Gentle, gives tips for a walk from restaurants. The hotel restaurant: very good food. Great weather. great taste. good wine letter, but high prices. Girls who meet the table are great. Attentive, they played with my son. The master, a gentleman who says he's kind, another who seemed to be making us a favor. The final print. The hotel receives so many artists and famous people that when you have a common customer, the Service is in the backdrop. The latest staff of the high-stage, they just like to pull the artists and famous bag.

THE WRONG IBIS. Be careful as there are two IBIS Praia de Iracema. This time I booked the IBIS BUDGET by mistake. Didn't like it at all. Snack bar has very little to offer... breakfast is very limited... no frigo bar... shower is next to bed so you step out onto bedroom floor with no bath mat. It is good value I guess, but not recommended.

We stayed at IBIS Manaus Airport and the IBIS Fortaleza Praia de Iracema. The one in Manaus is a gem. The Fortaleza IBIS is rundown, the general hallways are dirty, look used and are not well maintained. We give it maximum 2,5 - 3 stars! Rooms are small, as is usual for IBIS, but to say that we had ”beachview” (more expensive) is a joke: a small window, with the hotel located on a street a block away from the beach.... Check-in was slow. Our reservation could not be found Check-out even slower. Printer did not work. Bill was promised per e-mail but never arrived. Good thing: Closed and guarded parking space for free. Good to park our rented Hilux!

I stayed with my family for a week at the Mercure Meireles Hotel in Fortuneza. Unfortunately, it was a very unpleasant experience! I have a physical disability and I use a wheelchair. So I asked for an adapted suite. However, when I arrived there, I realized that the attention and respect of the hotel to the person with demand for accessibility as I was far below the expected for a Mercure group hotel. First, the bed was very high, which made it impossible for me to sleep in it. Result: I had to sleep with the bed on the floor! Another aspect concerns the bathroom: a toilet without side-support bar. There was only a small bar behind the vase, which forced me to use it side by side! To bath, another very complicated situation, because where the doorway was run was made a uncommon elevation. A bathroom with a step in a room with accessibility! In addition, I needed a common chair to be placed in the box so I could take a bath. Even in the bathroom, there was not enough space for the wheelchair to turn between the washing box and the toilet, as one was in front of the other. In short, I asked for a suitable room and I was stayed in a place without minimum conditions for a person with my need. Totally unrespect and lack of respect! I complained at the hotel reception about these conditions and nothing was resolved. And in the check-out, they still had the difficulty to ”present me” with a box of sweet and brown. Now ... I needed an accessible suite, not a gift at the end of the hosting! box of sweet and brown I paid as I paid for that bad hosting! I do not indicate the Mercure Meireles Hotel in Fortune to anyone who has reduced mobility. I do not even indicate to whom this condition does not have, because there is no respect for guests. Remember that there are many other accommodation options in that neighborhood in Fortune.

Location and Access – The hotel is on a prime ocean front position separated from the Praia de Iracema by a busy road. Nearby are many similar high-rise hotels and residences. There are only very limited shopping, restaurant and bar choices within close walking distance. The nearest supermarkets are a 10 to 15-minute walk. Fortaleza centre is 25 to 30 minute walk. Airport is 25 minutes by car – but allow extra time due to a major highway construction project. Close to the Beira Mar with some interesting places and amazing street art. Uber can get you to most places safely and cheaply Google Earth – The hotel can be seen on Street View Architectural Style – A brutal high rise 23 storey building clad in blocks of smoked glass and black and white ceramic tiles I am going to divert from my usual review format as there are issues that have been raised by other commentators on TA which need a response and I think that the hotel management may be in the process of taking action to address these points Staffing and Hospitality – My first hurdle. I don’t speak any Portuguese. Before arrival email enquiries were responded to quickly, professionally and in English. Check in and Check out on 2 occasions went very smoothly and any requests dealt with satisfactorily including storage of luggage during a side trip to Brasilia. Door and security staff were always very welcoming. Housekeeping – invisible but excellent with room and public areas perfectly clean. Restaurant staff equally hospitable with the egg chef even taking time (as well as cooking) to write on guests’ egg orders “Tenha um bom dia – Luana!” Restaurant – Breakfast – Part of my stay coincided with Carnaval weekend when the hotel was full. During those few days the buffet breakfast was very busy and free tables were difficult to find. Despite this the buffet was always well stocked. Comments have been made in other reviews about the contents of the breakfast buffet. I have to say I found the variety and quantity of the international and local specialities on offer more than adequate and combined with eggs, omelettes and tapioca dishes cooked to order was more than sufficient to satisfy any appetite. I had dinner only once during my stay mainly due to the limited menu choice and prices higher than in other restaurants Public Areas – There is a small manicured garden at the entrance and a covered area with seating. The double height reception area looks to have undergone a recent renovation and you would hope to be a sign of things to come. On the ground floor is a well equipped Gym. On floor “J” (first floor) a small pool area, jacuzzi, sauna, play and games rooms. The whole of this area looking very tired and by the time of my departure the pool, jacuzzi and sauna had been demolished and were due to be replaced over a 45 day period 4 lifts serve all floors and I never had to wait more than a few seconds for one to arrive. Although it is well located, walking distance to the beach, beira mar nd many places, the room was not as I expected. I was told it has a partial kitchen in the room, so I could make breakfast. To my surprise there was nothing when I arrived. I asked for a coffee maker and a microwave, but the told me they only have a heater and pans. I explained them I just wanted something to make coffee, they told me I could have breakfast at the hotel with a cost of 33 Reales, which was not my idea. I could never reach the supervisor neither on the phone nor personally. After 2 days RCI contacted then, the night before my ckeck out I found a coffee maker in the room. By that time I had spent 260 reales having breakfast at a nearby bar with my husband.(which I really like to have a compensation) On the other hand, the room was always clean, the shower was very powerfull, and the bed confortable, but only one night table at the room, I had my suitcase in replace by my side. Due to all these, It is a pity, but I won't come back and I don't recommend it.

Although it was a good hotel, some problems occurred in my hostel. On a day of cleaning my room, I received a dirty makeup towel, probably makeup by color, and that was very unpleasant. They could also have more food options in the morning coffee without gluten and without animal milk, and the hair dryer is also bad, and they could improve. However, it is a hotel with excellent location, staff and a good general structure.

We stayed at the Vila Galé in Fortaleza this summer. We were looking for a hotel close to the beaches and the city, and with a good affordable price. Already with food included and room service, and we couldn't miss the pool. And we couldn't be happier with our experience. It’s a four-star hotel,from the pictures we were expecting the building to be modern but in fact it has a very rustic style inside. One thing that surprised everyone was that the rooms were very large and comfortable and the bathrooms were also very large. Besides, the service is super good because there people are super friendly and funny. However one thing that should improve is parking because one of the parking is private and the other is shared with the hotel in front, and the convenience stores inside the hotel were not good because there were no things that should have (like slippers and swimsuits), not just souvenirs. This hotel is obviously not that cheap, but it is worth the price because it is a very quiet place, very well located, with a beautiful view to the sea, with some very good foods and activities for children.This hotel is ideal for going with children up to 7 years old because it has many activities, and to go with friends too as it is cheap and quality. My final grade is 4 stars. Very good hotel !!!

Pros: Excellent location; large rooms; except for a official who attended me on the night of the 28th day, all others were very educated and requested; good swimming pool and bar environment for the end of the afternoon; tired breakfast. Contras: small parking. I entered a waiting list, the vacancies around are through the blue zone system (rest limit) and the paid parkings are also loaded; central air conditioning system does not very well ice; Sometimes the breakfast environment is full and there is a waiting row.

The room was comfortable (i stayed in a executive room), with good cleaning and quality bed linen. cable TV, wifi, air conditioning ok.My reservation is in relation to the size of the bathroom box. I saw several comments from people who have already been home there, but I paid to see with my eyes, rs. The box is MINIMUM! I have no problem with small spaces, but that box gave me claustrophobia. And the water of the shower falls all widely, so it was impossible to take a bath with the open box. I took a bath at the hurry to get out there. I've got 1.57 and 60 kg, so if you're a big person, you'll have a worse experience. I asked for dinner to eat in the room and it took more than 1 h to arrive because the kitchen official was in rest time, even being 19h. But ok. Breakfast fat and varied, staff, modern building.

Exceptional officials. All cordial. Very clean, very good food. But we had a problem: with the strong rain the hotel was without energy. The generator was not enough for all rooms. We were unconditioned by 24h. We could not open the windows, because the generator is a little below us and the smoke generated by it entered our room. I asked the reception to change the room, because they had air-conditioned rooms working and said they couldn't; I asked a fan to sleep and they had no. Result: sleep (due to fatigue) at 2:30 a.m. with a humiliated towel on my body to try to threaten the heat.In the morning they would solve our problem, but we were already going away. I know that the lack of energy was not the fault of the hotel, but they could have put us in another room, because it was not stuck or then obtained a fan to avoid such disorder. The reception was with my number to the administration to contact via WhatsApp to try to compensate (through discount in the stay), but so far, almost a week later, they did not enter.

Not only is the food bad, but the space is ridiculous, 6 tables in a 4 floors hotel hotel with 7 rooms each. Service is as bad as the rooms, I left a message asking them not to clean my room (there's no do not disturb sign) and when I got back, the room had been cleaned. When I asked they said they had to go in because of a leakage in the room next door. No one was able to explain why they had to make the bed in the process of cleaning the floor. The manager, of course, was not at the hotel and even after being asked to contact me, did not. I'm never coming back andif you're in the process of searching, keep looking. If you have already booked, I'm so sorry! Quartos minúsculos e sem janelas, péssimo estado de conservação. Pior café da manhã que já tive em um hotel não só pela qualidade da comida como pelo espaço, ridículo, de 6 mesas para um hotel com 4 andares e 7 quartos por andar. Serviço péssimo, deixei avisado que o quarto não devia ser limpo, e eles entram e remexeram tudo. Pedi pra falar com o gerente que, claro, não estava no hotel, mas mandou recado pela recepção dizendo que entraram no quarto devido a vazamento no quarto vizinho. O motivo pelo qual fizeram a cama e recolheram o lixo, mesmo só tendo entrado para secar o vazamento, segue um mistério. Se você ainda está pesquisando onde ficar, continue procurando. Se já reservou, meus pêsames.
