The location is great and the hotel itself is quite new. However, I booked a room on a higher floor but was given a room on one of the lower floors instead.
The walls are quite thin, so you can easily hear noises from outside or nearby rooms. The housekeeping staff also left the window open, and there was a heavy storm early in the morning. The wind and rain were extremely loud, almost like the building was shaking, and it was impossible to sleep.
The breakfast is mostly Chinese-style food, so it may not suit every international guest, although the quality of the food is good. They also offer complimentary congee at night, which is a nice touch.
The bed is very comfortable, although personally I found it slightly too soft.
Housekeeping could definitely be improved. The room was not thoroughly cleaned, some areas were still messy, and the soap was not refilled.
The morning staff were very friendly, attentive, and helpful. The night staff, however, were quite different. I’m not sure if it was just their manner or if they were having a bad day, but they seemed unfriendly and did not really make an effort to communicate.
Overall, I think this hotel is more suitable for guests who can speak Chinese. As an international guest who does not speak Chinese, communication can be a little difficult.
