Maison Chablis Guest House

High quality breakfast, delicious. Very lovely rooms, comfortable and nice. Easy working distance to the entire town. Good aircon and effective WIFI. The pool was a chill after a busy day. A little oasis of calm.

We recently stayed at Maison Chablis for a couple of nights and found it to be fantastic. The location is great - on a quiet avenue - but within 200 metres of the lovely Main Street of the delightful town. The accommodation is furnished very tastefully & stylish manner - with everything that opens & shuts close to hand. Aircon is available, as is good WiFi & TV. I wouldn’t say that our room was huge, but it’s was perfectly adequate & very comfortable. The bathroom included a large walk-in shower - which was excellent. Outside there is a lovely sunbathing area and pool - which is well equipped with pool furniture and very peaceful & relaxing. The property is very secure with an electric gate and extensive parking facilities - although as the road is so quiet parking outside is no issue. I believe the dining room offers dinner, but we only had breakfast - which was faultless in terms of quality and very generous. Staff were fab, and the lady who I think was the proprietor was super .. lovely & friendly and were knowledgeable about the town & its vineyards. We do hope to return to this area in the future, and will certainly return to Maison Chablis. Thank you to everyone there for making our short stay so enjoyable ;)

We received a lovely warm welcome from Elsje who explained everything we needed to know. The hotel is beautifully appointed and a little oasis of calm just off the Main Street. The pool was great for a chill after a busy day. Breakfast was great and the hotel staff were very friendly.

We arrived slightly early and were able to check in as soon as our room was ready. Good welcome from the owner of the guesthouse, who gave us lots of tips about local restaurants and other amenities. We have stayed in Franschhoek before so we knew our way around. We were in room 1, with a nice area to sit outside, and we were surrounded by lovely gardens. Breakfast was very good, and staff all very friendly. Parking was on the property itself. The room itself felt a bit cramped for space and at times felt a bit cluttered.

A warm welcome will be received at this attractive property so close to the centre of beautiful Franschhoek with its many shops and restaurants, yet in a quiet location. Tasty breakfast, too. Lovely pool area.

We sadly only stayed the one night, but it was absolutely perfect. The little town is very pretty and for South Africa felt safe, there are some good restaurants within walking distance. Lovely room, and lots of thoughtful little extras. The garden and the swimming pool were tranquil and peaceful . We will Certainly be returning.

We would highly recommend this property. We stayed here for two nights while we visited the wineries. The rooms were very clean and cute. We enjoyed the little deck attached and used the pool one night. The breakfast was very good and the room where it was held was very cutely decorated. All the staff were very friendly and helpful! It is also a very close walk to the town with lots of restaurants and only a 10-15 min walk from the winery tram shuttle.

Had a lovely few days stay in this B&B - the staff were all lovely and helpful. Breakfast - great selection. Loved the smashed avocado toast and the croissants were yummy. Room - comfy and spacious and great bathroom Nice pool area and good parking Ideal location - a few mins walk from Main Street

Manager was very helpful providing advice and guidance on our trip. The property is in a great location to walk to the town centre. The breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice and the property has a swimming pool and comfortable sun beds.
